A formerly irritable young boy born in Goldenrod City, Johto on July 2nd, Ruby has a burning passion for battle. Though he comes off as a little snappy sometimes, Ruby is actually very kind-hearted and puts himself at high risk for other more often than not. Inspired by Fire to chase his dreams, Ruby gives every battle his very best effort, dreaming to become the Hoenn Champion. His inspiration to reach that dream is to one day have a battle of the Champions against Fire and to prove to his mother and father how strong he really is when his Pokémon are by his side. Ruby is the third Hero of Hoenn, but is mainly portrayed as their leader.
