A cheerful and innocent young girl born in Littleroot Town, Hoenn on September 20th, Sapphire is always full of energy and peppy. She's been in love with Pokémon Contests ever since she saw one on TV, and has been training to become a Pokémon Coordinator from that day on. Though she can easily notice feelings such as sadness or envy, Sapphire is oddly completely oblivious to anger or any form of rage. Her obliviousness used to deeply irritate Ruby, but he soon learned to cope with her and even take a liking to her. Sapphire has had an admiration of his strength ever since she saw him battle against Roxanne, and has slowly gotten the hang of battling with his help. Sapphire is the first Hero of Hoenn, yet she finds herself the most dependent on her friends.
