Helping Hand [ Sal X Reader ]

Chap. 5

When you and Sal arrived at the bar there was only a few people were there . Brian was sitting in the same spot as yesterday and Joe and Murray were sitting at a table in the back .

Sal showed you all the basics and you began working . The beginning of the night there was only a few customers and when there was no one at the bar you talked with Brain . As it got later and later more and more people came in. People began yelling orders at you and you just couldn't handle it . It reminded you of Alex screaming at you and it started to freak you out .

" Sal . "  you said , but he couldn't hear you .

" Sal ! " you yelled .

" Whats wrong , Y/n ? " he looked over to you .

" Can I step outside for a moment ? " you asked .

" Yeah sure , take as long as you need " he smiled .

You walked out and sat on a bench outside of the bar . The cool air seemed to calm your nerves . You took deep breaths and closed your eyes . The bar door opened and closed . You opened your eyes to revile a tall muscular man .

" Hey , Beautiful " He had alcohol in his breath .

He started to touch you and you pushed him off  .  You were honestly scared , but you couldn't let your fear take over you.

" Get off me " you yelled .

" Be quiet " he snapped .

He kept trying touch you , but you kept fighting back .

" Leave me alone !"  You screamed .

" Sit still ! "

Just then the bar door opened and you saw Sal . His head shot over and looked at you . He ran over to you and the man and he socked the man right in the face . The man fell to the ground with a nose bleed and  a broken nose .

" Don't ever come back here again " Sal yelled in an irritated tone .

The man jumped up and ran off quickly .

" Y/n . Are you okay ? " he hugged you tightly .

" Yes , Sal . " you were on the verge of tears .

" Im so sorry . I should have been out here with you " he sounded like he genuinely felt bad .

Your head laid on the crook of his neck and your tears started spilling out . Your body was shaking and Sal tried to comfort you .

" your okay now y/n , calm down . "

After a short amount of time your body was calm . You told Sal what happened and he felt terrible for not protecting you.

" You can sit the rest of the night out and sit with Joe and Murray . Is that okay ? " he rubbed your arm .

" Yeah, thats fine . "

You walked back into the bar and Sal walked you to the back table .

" Fellas , make sure nothing happens to her "

Joe and Murray both nodded their heads. Sal walked back to the bar and started serving people again . You laid your head on the table and let yourself settle .

" Whats wrong , sweetheart ? " Joe asked.
" People " you sighed .

" people are assholes " Murray added .

Joe put his arm around your back in a comforting way .

" It will be alright " Joe said .

Intill the bar closed you Joe and Murray talked to each other . They were both very great men that were hilarious and they both lived together in an apartment.
When Sal was done cleaning up he came and got you .
