"Fantastic!" She smiles in relief."I will go settle all this out." Jon leaves, scribbling all over something on his clipboard.
"I need your parents number so I can discuss this, and you may go dearie." She smiles. I write down their number on a piece of paper she gave me. Then I left out of the office.
The boys were already standing up like they were about to leave.
"Saylor, what happened in there? It took so long." Romeo asks. He holds the door open for me and Brooklyn.
"Apparently, I'll be modeling for your mom tomorrow... something about filling in for a model that works for her." I explain.
"Really?" Brooklyn looks over at Romeo puzzled, "That's... unusual."
"Yeah... then again this day is unusual." I muttered to myself.
During the walk, we ended up talking about lots of things. Well, at least mostly Brooklyn and I. Romeo just focused on us walking. Which, of course, I thought was strange but didn't question it.
Soon I could see my house as we got closer. I felt a little sad knowing I was finally there. I was having so much fun, but I have to come home at some point.
"Well, this is the house.." I stop on the sidewalk.
"Cool. See you later Saylor!" Brooklyn says as I start to walk up the driveway. Romeo asked me to stop before I got any further,
"I, uh, just wanted to say that it was really nice meeting you." He finished with a smile plastered across his face. I nodded, "It was totally worth the spill that happened this morning." We both laughed.
"Bye guys." I waved to them before walking further to enter the house. They waved back, before turning to leave. I watched them walk away for a few seconds, and shook my head. 'I just spent my day with the Beckhams', I thought, smiling.
When I entered the house my parents were home. My dad was sitting on the couch with his feet resting on the ottoman, watching Tv. And my mom, I guessed, was most likely sitting in her room if she wasn't in the kitchen.
"Hey bud, how was your day?" My dad asks, "Make any friends?"
"Mmm, maybe." I plop down the armchair that was separated from the couch by a stand.
"Maybe?"
"I suppose. It could've just been a one time thing." I shrug. He nods in a agreement.
"So, tell me something about them."
"Uhhh–" Before I could answer, the house phone started to ring.
"I'll get it." My mom insists, walking down the stairs quickly so she wouldn't miss it. I watched her pick it up and answer.
"Hello?... yes!.... this is, who?..." I got up and walked over to my mom, "Is it?" I whispered to myself.
"Wow, uh... Really?...." While the person is talking, my mom looks over at me with furrowed eyebrows, "Of course, of course! Sounds great, thank you!" She finishes. I cross my arms, curious as to what happened. My mom puts the phone down and takes a deep breath. Then randomly laughs.
