Last night was quite peaceful except for....spending the whole afternoon worrying if she caused the guy any harm. Then a couple hours before bed thinking of his weird attitude. And let's not forget the horrifying thought of being sued if she broke his arm or had an internal bleeding.

Quite peaceful indeed !

She didn't want to tell her friend; Sumin, because she would for sure make a scene out of it being the drama queen she is. At that moment, she didn't need anyone to confirm her worries. She was struggling as it was and yesterday's accident ended up being the cherry on top.

Fantastic.

Sumin was a teacher as well, a Math one to be precise. Whereas Sunhee was fascinated by literature, all things relating fascinated her. She loved reading and writing, works and pieces of art and adored learning languages.

It made her feel special and alive.

Nobody ever saw this poetic side of hers. In people's eyes she was just an ordinary English teacher.

Energetic, loud and bubbly was Sumin. She was a bomb of joy.

While Sunhee was the exact opposite. Calm, an antisocial and a very straightforward person. Maybe that's why she has very few friends or maybe she likes it that way.

She would prefer to stay alone, engrossed in a book rather than gossiping with her female cowerkers.
She liked her boring life and she wouldn't want it to alter otherwise.

Well they say apposites attract.
Some how they managed to befriend each other.

"Hey! are you even listening?" Sumin nudged her snapping her out of her thoughts.

She nodded quickly before going back to search for her lesson plans.

"Then tell me what was I talking about?" continued Sumin narrowing her eyes and crossing her arms across her chest.

She rubbed the back of her neck out of tiredness. She wasn't listening.
She was too busy replaying yesterday's scene with a bunch of questions flying across her mind.

So, instead she told her what she was thinking of unconsciously.

"Cars, beeping horns and a handsome young man ?" She said absentmindedly stoping to stare at the papers on her desk for hundredth time today.

Sumin raised her eyebrows at her leaning close to Sunhee from her desk to her friend's
"no no and yes" she used her index finger to emphasize each word.

What?

As if someone had just slapped her across the face.

Crap! I should have known.

Sumin was talking about her boyfriend, her new boyfriend.
Actually, that's the only thing she would talk about since they started dating.

Sunhee was oblivious to her friend's blabbering. She heard enough.
It was fine at first. As a friend, she has to listen and give good advice.

Charming, handsome, romantic were the words Sumin used to describe him. She fell head over heals, Sunhee thought. She asked her to meet him so many times that she couldn't count.

Sunhee wasn't that interested. If her friend is happy then life is good. But frankly you wouldn't want to confront Sumin's other side, a hurricane ready to crush everything on her way. So, Sunhee would incline to her requests every time. Still, she didn't get the chance to meet him just yet.

Deep down, she knew she wasn't that perfect friend that anyone would want to have. Often times, she would sit down and wonder why was her friend; her only friend still by her side.

Everyone wants a friend that can cheer them up when feeling down, a positive person that expects much from life and that would encourage and push them forward, but Sunhee was nothing like that.

It is maybe the reason why she wasn't serrounded by many people, still she liked it that way. The less people she confronted, the less her problems and worries were.

The less the better.
