"hey, can you pick me up? I'm running late" said Sumin over the phone. Her voice sounding tired.

"hmm yeah, sure" replied Sunhee confused and hung up deciding not to push for answers. Lucky for Sumin, she was just about to get into her car.

This was so unlike her friend.
Sumin was so punctual and always the first to get into school ground.
The fact that she had no car was all the more of a reason to head out early.

Now, don't jump into conclusions. Sunhee would always suggest to be her ride to and from school, their houses weren't that far away from each other anyways. But Sumin would always brush her off and tell her how much she liked walking and taking the bus.

That's why Sunhee couldn't shake the feeling that there was something wrong with her friend.

Ten minutes later, Sunhee pulled before her friend's house. A tired Sumin emerging from the front door.

Sumin shot a groggy good morning when she hopped into the car.

"are you okay?" Asked Sunhee worry lacing through her words. She started the car and pulled out of Sumin's driveway.

"I'm fine. I just didn't get much sleep last night" answered her friend with a deep sigh.

"Oh. Did your neighbor throw a party again?" Asked Sunhee "That guy you said he came from the States recently"

"Jimmy? huh!" She scoffed "he would never dare after what happened last time" She practically stomped into his house in her pyjamas maneuvering through a sea of teenagers, poured a whole package of beer bottles on the DJ equipments, kicked him where he could see stars in midday and threatened to call the police.

She peacefully went back to sleep after the loud music had stopped.

He then had to pay for the damages which wasn't all that much. But the humiliation he went through was something else. Sunhee was surprised he didn't try to get back at her friend for what she did.

Then again, he would know better than to mess with an angry Sumin.

"He learned his lesson, I suppose" chuckled Sunhee "So, if it's not the Jimmy guy then what happened?" Asked she coming into a stop as she parcked the car successfully. The drive doesn't take that long when there is no traffic.

"It's Suga" she sighed again "He got into a car accident"

"What?" Her eyes widened, panick sent her heart hammering. First thing she thought of..

Could it be the same guy?

"Is he okay?" She asked still shocked praying silently they weren't the same person.

"Yeah. accept for a giant purple bruise from where the car collided with his leg" She looked at Sunhee "The doctor said he was fine but he still felt sore and in pain, nothing pain killers can't fix tho"

"Oh thank god he's safe" She sighed looking at her friend nervously "actually, I think.."

"I'll see you at lunch. I'm gonna go grab some coffee" Sumin cut her off urgently "can't function without caffeine in my system"

There were ten minutes left before the bell rings. She decided to drop it off. they could carry on their conversation during lunch. At least, she would have the time to think about how to deliver the news.

"Thanks for the ride" said Sumin "good luck with your classes today" she smiled and sauntered into the building.

"See you" retorted Sunhee quietly at her retreating figure.

By third period, Sunhee couldn't take it anymore. The guilt was eating her alive. She needed to know whether they were the same person or not.

If only I paid attention when she used to show me his pictures!

After explaining some homework she handed to her class, she sat behind the desk sighing.

Right then her phone chimed, a text from Sumin appeared on her lock screen. She frowned in confusion and opend the text.

How can y do this to me! ARE WE EVEN FRIENDS!!

Oh. My. God Sunhee's eyes went wide and she rushed to answer back

I'm so so sorry for what happened. I'll explain everything during lunch.

A few seconds later, an other text popped in.

SAVE IT!!

She was undoubtedly furious. It was Sumin's free perioud and she wasn't teaching. She must have called to check up on him and found out about what happened. Seeing as he was under shock and pain the day before, they didn't get a chance to properly talk she thought.

Or maybe he recognized her seeing as he acted all weird. He didn't tell Sumin about it until now?

If so, why the sudden change of heart?

She didn't know if he knew how she looked like. But knowing Sumin she must have showed him pictures of her so called 'best friend'.

She pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration.

That title will soon be gone.

The bell signaling the end of fourth period went off. She went into the teacher's room putting her stuff away in her desk then proceeded to go outside.

She stepped outside the building glad to finally smell some fresh air.

What she liked most about this school is the garden clad with benches, tables, trees and grass carpeted ground exclusively for teachers.

The perfect place to unwind after all the hard work.

She spotted Sumin sulking at their usual table under the greenish tree.
She heaved a deep sigh and advanced towards her, her cute little bag reserved for her lunch in hand.

"hey" she greeted nervously sitting down facing her friend, placing her lunch box on the table "are you mad at me? I'm so sorry Sumin. I didn't mean for all of that to happen. I was so tired and..." she began to say before Sumin cut her off by sliding a piece of paper across to her.

Confused she grabbed the note glancing for a second towards her friend who was looking at her with hurt filling her eyes.

She stared at the note between her fingers completely confused and surprised.
