"Training?" I mumbled out as I felt the pressure Jack was applying begin to drastically increase.

"Yes, training!" Jack yelled out as he kicked me in the legs, causing for me to collapse. "Take this!" I yelled as I spun from my wounded position, swinging my scythe down at Jack. I gasped as Jack easily parried my slash. "Too slow." he muttered, before slashing his sword down, releasing a stream of condensed ice towards me.

As the ice approached, I swung my scythe is a circular fashion, deflecting most of the ice, fragments hitting me occasionally. "You're gonna need more than that if you wanna find your mother!" Jack yelled at me, striking his blade in the ground. I couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh wow, you stuck your sword in the ground, what that gonna--" I began before I was interrupted by a large pillar of ice shooting from the ground beneath me.

As soon as I felt the contact of ice against my shoes, I jammed my scythe in the ground, using it as a pivot to avoid the pillar. The pillar then proceeded to shoot up by a hundred feet, towering over us. "Aren't people gonna see that?" I asked.

"No, there's something called the mist. It shields the eyes of mortals. Now, time to resume training!" Jack responded. He sheathed his blade, and the sheer force created by the blade returning to it's sheath caused a shockwave to emanate throughout the battlefield, causing for me to lose my balance. Before I could respond, Jack formed a hand sign of sorts, resulting in streams of ice to appear from his back, these streams flying towards me.

"Damn it!" I yelled as I slammed my palms together, causing for a shockwave of my own to be created, only due to my powers. My silver shockwave collided with that of my opponents causing for the two forces to cancel each other out. I charged in at Jack, swinging my scythe.

As soon I was arms reach away from Jack, I slashed down towards him. Jack easily avoided the attack, a fact I was hoping for. As my scythe hit the ground, I used it as a pivot, swinging towards Jack. Before my feet could strike Jack, I infused them with Silver Energy, and my energy infused feet collided with Jack's chest. The impact knocked him backwards slamming him against a tree.

Jack up, chuckling. "You're improving as we fight. That's a useful trait...but..." Jack began before suddenly exploding into snow. The snow began to swirl around, creating a small storm around  me. "That's not enough to defeat me!" a disembodied voice yelled. The snow suddenly ceased, and multiple Jack's appeared, all of them going to punch me.

I jumped into the air, using my scythe as a mower to swing towards the necks of the Jacks. As my scythe came in contact with their necks, each of the Jacks exploded into snow. "What the hell?" I wondered as a fist collided with my back. My face slammed into the ground, my scythe vanishing, as well as my silver aura vanishing. "I've won." Jack began. As I turned around to congratulate him, I heard Maya speak. "Jack's not the son of Poseidon."

"What do you mean he's not the son of Poseidon?" I asked as I stood. "I mean he isn't the son of Poseidon. The strange clone like things confirmed it. Jack's not who he says he is." Maya responded.

I looked towards Jack, disbelief obvious in my face. "Is it true?"

So she realizes... I thought to himself as he began to speak. "Yes, I'm not the son of Poseidon. I'm not even the son of a greek god or goddess. I am the son of a Japanese goddess."

"No...that's impossible!" Maya yelled out. "The Japanese hierarchy died off millennia ago!"

"It is very possible." Jack began. "In fact, I am over a million years of age. My mother, Yuki-Onna, the Japanese Goddess of Winter is my mother. I was born much before Edo Japan. She granted me immortality with the task of serving all sorts of demigods. Although I was preserved away for a few hundred thousand years. I only came to control my body as of recently, a few hundred years ago."

Mike looked flabbergasted, and I worried if I had lost the childs trust. "That..." Mike began. "That is so fucking cool." he finished, and I couldn't help but grinning. "You still trust me?" I asked.

"Of course I do. You're a cool guy and...you're the closest thing to a family I've ever had." Mike replied, looking a bit flustered. I  chuckled as I patted him on the head. "Thank you. That means a lot to me." I said, genuinely happy.

Mike suddenly looked flustered, almost embarassed. "Oh...well it's nothing."

"But he lied to us!" Maya yelled. "I may have lied," Jack began. "But it was only so I would be easier accepted into your group, something I have wanted."

"Maya, calm down. Jack's a good guy." Mike began. "I trust him, and so should you."

Maya looked down, somewhat flustered. "Fine. I'll trust him."

I grinned as I realized I finally had a home. As we began to talk about my past, my sixth sense sent a shiver down my spine, colder than the ones I was used to. "Look out!" I yelled as I created a dome of ice around use. We heard the heavy thunk of arrows striking against ice. "What was that?" Mike asked. "Those Dark Arrows. They're called Onkyou's. They were born in Edo Japan, and are creations of Japanese and Greek origins." I answered.

The arrows suddenly burst into flames, quickly melting the dome of ice I had created. Thousands upon thousands of Onkyou's surrounded us, and I was prepared to fight. I was about to unsheath my sword when an ear-rattling sound was heard.

Mike, Maya and I all collapsed to the ground, the ear-rattling noise causing us to writhe on the ground. The sounds echoed through our ear as I felt my vision dimming...and dimming...until it was all black.
