2 Years Later
Jasmine's POV
I sit Maddie down on the floor so I could get ready. I pull on a black sweater and gold skirt along with a bracelet to match the skirt and some leather boots. (The picture above) I put my hair partially in a braid and the rest down.
I didn't think it'd be a super fancy dinner. Anthony and I have gone on plenty of dates, so I didn't expect anything different.
I walk out of my closet to see Pippa there. "Thank you so much for taking care of Maddie while me and Anthony are out." I say while putting on my makeup. "No problem! I hope you guys have fun. But not too much fun. We don't need another..." She gestures to Maddie who was now using one of my makeup brushes as a mini sword and fighting off whatever imaginary creature her mind had created.
I laugh and finish my makeup. I give Maddie a butterfly kiss and say goodbye to Pippa.
I really missed her. I enjoyed seeing my old cast members from Hamilton, that I had left just a few months ago.
I force the thoughts from my mind before I start crying.
I eventually get to the restaurant, which was much more fancier than the ones we had been to before. I walk in and find Anthony at a table."
We made small talk before our food arrived and we ate. Anthony seemed different at this date. Almost nervous.
I finish eating and the waiter comes back up again.
"Would you like some desserts?" The waiter asks.
"Sure I'll have the the chocolate cake." I say with a smile.
The waiter leaves. The restaurant was almost empty now, a few table were occupied with cute couples, but other than that it was just the waiters serving their customers.
"Jasmine?" I turn my attention to Anthony who was nervously bouncing his leg up and down under the table.
"What's up?" I ask, trying to be casual without sounding worried.
"Um..." He gets up from his chair and down on one knee.
With all anxiousness aside, Anthony says, "Jasmine Cephas Jones, will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"
Everyone in the restaurant's eyes fall on us as they await my reply.
