My Lost Boys (A The Lost Boys Fanfiction)

Chapter Four

Last night Laddie and I stayed with Edgar and Alan, they never suspected that Laddie was half vampire. We left early so they wouldn't get suspicious of why Laddie was sleeping all day, so I'm walking back to the cave while carrying a sleeping Laddie who was wrapped in a blanket so the sun wouldn't hurt him. I walked down the steep stairwell without slipping or dropping Laddie, I put him in my bed and changed into some black short shorts, a Guns n' Roses tank top with my black combat boots and leather jacket. I fixed my makeup and hair, grabbed my sunglasses and started the long walk back to the boardwalk.

"Why did y'all leave so early this morning?" Alan asked while I sat on the counter near Edgar. "Laddie wasn't feeling too good so I took him home." I lied, how easily and good I could lie wasn't something I was too proud of but it did come in handy. "Oh.. hey give that back!" Edgar and Alan took off running after some guy who took a comic. Who would want to steal a comic book? A panting Edgar and Alan came back a few minutes later with the stolen comic in hand. "Stupid punks thinking they can steal from us." Edgar muttered walking by me, while Alan drank some of my water. Alan and I have always been close since I moved here, I'm not as close with Edgar but we're still kind of close.

I hung out with the Frog brothers all day, but now the suns gone down and that means the freaks are out and that includes my four boys. I was sitting on the counter by the sleeping hippies when a young blonde boy came in and got the attention of the brothers. I took that as a way to leave and went to the entrance of the boardwalk where I knew the boys were waiting and got on Marko's bike, David didn't look happy about that at all. Starr showed up with a curly brown headed boy following her, she got on David's bike and we drove off but I looked back to see the blonde kid from the comic store, I guess they're brothers.

We pulled up to cave and I walked to my 'room' which was really just a corner of the room with a bed surrounded by curtains. I was sitting on my bed when Laddie came running and laid down beside me, he was talking about some comic he once read but I wasn't really paying attention. Soon the talking stopped and I looked over to see Laddie fast asleep, he looked so adorable. I moved him over some so I could lay down too but David came and sat down on the edge near my feet. "Can I lay down with you?" he asked looking nervous, "Sure." I moved over so he had room. I fell asleep in between Laddie and David, besides it being cramped it was comfortable and I never slept better.

"AWHH LOOK HOW CUTE!" Paul and Marko yelled waking us up. David growled and the boys laughter instantly ceased. The boys got ready to go feed while Starr and Laddie were going to a concert. "Aren't you coming?" Dwayne asked while I sat on the couch, "No, tonight I'm gonna stay in." I told him and hugged Laddie bye. David walked over and gave me a look I knew too well. "You guys go on up, I'll be there in a second." he said and the boys did what they were told. "Are you okay?" he asked once the boys were gone, "I'm fine, I promise." I told him with a small smile.

He gave me a small kiss and hug, "We'll be back soon." then he disappeared up the stairs. I walked to my corner and grabbed a pair of old sweat pants and a huge black t-shirt, I went into the bathroom which surprisingly still had running water. I showered and did what I needed to do and walked back out to the cave area, I sat on the couch and grabbed the comic book that Laddie got the other day since I was that bored but even that got boring so I sat outside and looked at the sea.

I was walking on the edge of the fountain when the guys came back followed by the curly brown headed guy from the other night. I hoped down from the fountain while David talked about the cave. I went and sat down by Paul while Marko went to get food, I picked at the black nail polish that was on my nails. Marko came back and handed out the Chinese, I got my favorite which was rice. I was thinking about my family and how they are when David's voice got my attention, "How's those maggots?" David asked. "Hm?" the boy I learned name was Micheal asked, "You're eating maggots Micheal. How do they taste?" Micheal spit out the rice on the floor while the boys laughed.

I lost interest and walked to my bed while Laddie followed, "Is he gonna be our new brother?" Laddie asked, "I don't know, I guess so." I told him, I don't like them changing people so I don't watch it. Soon the boys left to go to the railroads with Micheal, I walked out to the ledge to watch the waves.

I was enjoying the cold air and the soothing sounds of waves crashing against the rocks when Starr came out complaining. "I can't believe they made him drink that!" she rambled on, "Well there's nothing we can do so if you don't like it you can talk to Max." I told her not wanting to hear her complain anymore, she instantly shut up which I was grateful for. "I'm sorry for everything, especially for fighting with you. It just hurt that David doesn't care about me anymore and Laddie liked you more." she said, "It's okay, I'm sorry too." I told her not wanting there to be anymore tension.

Star and I were still outside talking when the deafening roar of motorcycles came closer and luckily they didn't run us over. David came over and picked me up and threw me over his shoulder and walked down to the cave and threw me on my bed. He walked over to the other side and took his boots and jacket off. He moved Laddie over so that I was in the middle again and we slept through the day again. One thing about living with vampires, you have to be on their sleeping schedule.
