Frankie didn't seem happy at the time, but I knew he was in some way. I sat on a stair of my staircase, Frankie and my Mother, wandered around, gathering things together and setting the table for breakfast. I sighed. School... Something brand new they said, I guess I didn't mind ...
Frankie looked at me from the bottom of the stairs, I was only about four stairs up from the bottom. He put his hands to his hips, "You feeling okay?" He asked me, I rubbing my forehead. "You've been strange since earlier, I know you didn't sleep either. What's got you thinking?" He asked, as he sat next to me. "Nothing, I'm fine. Just alot to take in..." I said. If it were my choice, I wouldn't go to school, but... everyone knew to be a music writer and pianist you required some kind of education. I was also, tired of watching my mother struggle daily...
"I've got a bunch of appointments coming up. I'll be treated even more like a guinea pig now." I mumbled, Frankie thought for a moment, smiling later. "I'll go with you if you want." He insisted. "Can you handle that? It's not fun to watch ..." I warned him, as I lent my cheek on my hand.
"Trust me on this Frankie, once people realize who I am, and that the little cursed boy from down the road was released... I'll be ridiculed and become an outcast again..." I said, as I got up, walking down the rest if the stairs.
That was my old nickname, the cursed boy. I've heard this from children to adults... everyone was scared of me, and people who approached me never really did see the light of day a few days after, because I just knew that those who hurt me, would suffer karma soon...
Frankie followed me. "Come on Mikael, things are different now, I'm sure it won't we anything like that. People have changed." He said, I looked to him. "Right... if that were the case they would have set me free sooner. They locked me away out if fear..." I responded.
Frankie sighed. "Look I'll be there, it'll all be okay."
I sat at the table, sighing as I looked at the food on my plate, that my Mother had just placed down in front of me. It was smiling, to make me feel better I guessed. I just squinted at it, I didn't even want to think about smiling.
My mother, walked towards the kitchen soon after. I couldn't understand how I felt, was I mad, scared? Who knew...
I guessed I was just... upset that everything passed me by like that. I looked at my hands as they trembled. Scared? I closed my eyes, I guess I was, about what people would do or say. "You going to eat?" Frankie asked, as I looked up to him. I couldn't tell if I was...
He looked at me, sighing as I pushed my plate to him, leaning my face on my hand. "I guess not..." he mumbled.

My mother had offered us a drive, but I insisted we take the bus to school, seeing as how I had to know where it is, and how to get there.. same time, I didn't want Mom to see me get beat up once they figured out who I am. Frankie was walking next to me, smiling as he grabbed my hand. "I wanna show you something I found." He said, I felt relief, anything to keep me away for a while longer. Although... I was worried for his studies...
He led me for a few blocks, soon we got to a small area that seemed abandoned... the streets were cracked, the buildings that were there were old and boarded up, and the foliage could reach across the small road...
I was confused. Why bring me here? It was getting late, and at this rate he'd be late. He'd get into trouble with his Mother and Father. I looked around, adjusting my book bags strap. Frankie pulled aside some bushes and branches. It revealed a staircase that went downward, it was old and the stone stairs had moss and cracks. It seemed as if it went close to the creak, as I could hear and smell water... sea water.
