Chapter 3
Charlie had gotten home around 5:30 pm. The food I made was ready, of course, he said he loved the food. It was after dinner that I decided to tell him that I was moving to an apartment. I had already put up the dishes and cleaned the table off. Charlie and me were still at the table.
“So...dad I was thinking about moving into an apartment of my own soon. I was looking at the Mountain Ridge Apartments, they're nice and are close to your house and my work plus school. The lady that manages the apartments said I could move in next month. I already payed the down deposit on the apartment.”
“Well Bella...I really wish you wouldn't move out, I love having you here. You sure you don't want to stay here with me? I could help buy the baby's clothes,diapers, or whatever she needs,”he asked.
“Yea dad Im sure. I don't want to have to depend on you or anyone else to help me with the baby, I need to be able to do it on my own.”
“Alright, but if you need help I will always be here to help you Bella.”
“Okay dad. Thank you and I appreciate it.”
****TWO MONTHS LATER****
It has now been two months since I told Charlie about me moving. Now I live in my apartment and I have been living here for about a month and two weeks. I love my apartment. I love the feeling of being independent and not having to rely on my dad for stuff. I am so excited for today. Today is the day I get to find out whether I am having a boy or a girl. Jake is coming with me to my doctor's appointment. He has been such a good friend with me when all my other “FRIENDS” ditched me as soon as they found out I was pregnant. I want a baby boy, but I will be happy with either as long as they are healthy.
At the doctor's office, Jake could not stop flirting with the guy nurse that was taking me to the back room where they would be doing my ultra sound in.
Jake and I were in the room the nurse had put us in. We were waiting on the doctor to come in. The doctor came in after ten minutes of us waiting. Thank god she was a girl doctor to because that would be awkward if it was a guy doctor.
“Hi my name is Doctor R and I'll be your doctor throughout your pregnancy.”
She was a pretty middle aged lady with red hair. She looked kind and sweet. She had light blue eyes that were surrounded by a nice small frame of black glasses.
“Hi nice to meet you Doctor R. I'm Bella I was wondering when I could find out the sex of the baby.”
“Well how far along are you?”
“I am actually four months.”
“ Well I can tell you today during your sonogram . Would you please lay down on the bed and lift your shirt for me please.”
I did as she said. She put the gel on my stomach it was cold so I moved a little. She just laughed and pressed down on my stomach with the wand.
I was in awe I heard my little baby's heart beat she smile and turns to me.
“Well Ms.Swan it looks like your having a little boy,” Doctor R tells me .
“Awe, I'm having a baby boy. He is going to be so loved,” I say to my self while rubbing my tummy.
“He sure will be. I am going to make sure he is spoiled rotten.” Jake says with a big smile on his face
