"Come in Princess J! Let's take this kingdom over!" She shouted using a joke that had been between us since that say nearly four years ago.
--
"But where are you going princess?" Blake asked taking a step in front of me, sounding genuinely concerned.
He had caught me in the arm, his fingers seemed to sense the scars underneath the thin sweatshirt and I winced.
I hated when people accidentally touched them.
My heart swelled at the same time as he called me princess.
------------------
"I.. Uhh.. I got go," I said quickly trying to jerk my arm away as politely and gently as I could.
"Is it because what today is?" He asked, I could sense the emotion he held back, he was pretty close to Daisy as well as me.
"Partially,"my insides answered.
"Yeah," I whispered.
His grip loosened and I pulled my sleeve down that was starting to rise up.
"Well uhh.. I'll see ya then. Call me tonight?"
I nodded, "I'll try."
Before I knew it I was pulled into his tight embrace, which I melted into almost immediately.
"Bye Jay," he whispered into my hair, then gave me a quick peck on the lips.
I managed a small smile in return as I whispered goodbye. He flipped his red hood up over he's head and waved a bit as he turned and walked into the misty mid morning.
I slowly moved back to my place on the cold hard bench and laid in my back with my legs dangling over the metal armrest. Thoughts of the past couple hours blurred by when my phone chimed again.
'All over the roooooad I can't help but go little bit a left little bit a-'
"Hello?"
Sweet ring tone right?
"What happened to having to go?"
Crap.
"Hey Blake," I whispered.
"Jay what's going on? Please tell me... I wanna help you, I'm here for you."
"You said that before," I retort dryly, sitting up on the cool bench.
A beep I interrupted his reply, I held my phone away from my ear and checked who was calling now.
'Mom'
No no no!
"Blake I gotta go," I say hurriedly, not giving him a chance to say anything before I hung up. Knowing I couldn't answer the call considering I'm 'In school' I push the 'Quiet' button and waited for her to go to voicemail.
She left one.
"This can't be good," I mumble to myself as I dialed for the voicemail box. My heart jumped into my throat as I heard my moms strained voice on the other line.
"Hi baby it's mom. So.... I hope you're doing ok. Just wanted to let you know that I've got the day off and after you and your brother get out of school were goons go ahead to see Daisy. I love you Jaden."
Tears began to brim my eyes and my vision began to blur. I stood up and knew where I needed to be right now.
With Daisy.
-Bonus points to whoever can guess the song that was set as Jaden's ring tone!
