"So where do you want to go for breakfast?" Jose asked  clearing his throat.  "There's a dee's across the street from
the library,  do you want to go there?" Bryce asked politely. "  actually, that Sounds great I've never been there." José said.
Bryce's eyes widened. "You've never been? How? OK OK OK I'm taking you there right now there food is like magic in your
Mouth!" Bryce excitedly said. José grinned "does This mean that we're going on a date?" José asked.
Bryce looked at José and smiled. "I guess so"  The two boys walked to the restaurant.  As they sat down at a booth they sat very close  Together. When it was time to order their food, They ironically wanted the same meal. Just minutes later Jose leaned in for a kiss When suddenly two men approached them.
"What are you guys going?!" One of them said in Confusion. "Oh my god were you guys gonna kiss!?"Said the other guy grossed out. Bryce and José looked At each other "um no! Man, you uh you actually think that
We're gay!? Nah man were just bast buds hanging out
That's all, no homo bro." Bryce nervously said. "OK then  What are you guys doing so close?" One guys asked. "Uh José here Was just telling me about a um, uh girl that uh he likes and wants To ask out, on a date, uh with her a um a girl. Bryce grinned.
" OK" said the two guys as they walked away. José glared At Bryce. "What?" Bryce asked. "What do you mean what we can't Tell anyone about us." Bryce said. "And why is that?" José asked Folding his arms. "Well because we'll gat made fun of and picked on For example I know those guys there the kind of guys that Judge people and they'll tell people you know."  Bryce said " so is it such a horrible thing that people know about us? And Besides your a big boy right? Your not 12 anymore you can handle Words right?" José  said. " I just don't want to take the risk." Bryce said
Jose scoffed "wow, I didn't know that your reputation  Means more to you than I do." Jose said as he stood up and left.
