Day 8: Planned for God's Pleasure
The thing that struck me with this chapter is the part that says real worship is like falling in love. No wonder a lover could talk about her love: "I worship her."
Of course, if we're in love we must be in love hook, line and sinker. We must be really in love. Heartily. Mindfully. Soulfully.
And this is where I realize my folly till now. Sometimes I'm so shy during worship. If I were really in love with Jesus, if I were really in love with God, shouldn't I be singing and praying and worshipping all out?
Indeed, worship should not be just a "Sunday thing". Not just a 1-hour thing. Tama si Rick Warren: "Worship is not a part of your life..." It should be: "It is my life".
I pray now to the Lord that He gives me the grace to profess my faith all out (in my thoughts, in my words, and in my deeds) publicly before all peoples and for all time. That doing so, I shall not be minding people or things, that I should only be minding how I can please Him more in worship.
