By the time the bleeding died down and I had forgotten about it, I heard footsteps. They weren't heavy. But they weren't light either. Just somewhere in the middle. They echoed through the entire building. I started to notice that the sound was fading. And fading. And fading. Were they moving away? Had they stopped walking? I did not know.
The words "Wouldn't you like to know?" Taunted in my head. Was this the person? It couldn't be. No. No? What if it was though? Am I safe?
"You're such an idiot!" The words in my brain continued.
I stood puzzled for quite awhile. Well it felt that way. Then, something happened. I saw a moving figure.
It looked like a human.
About the size of me.
Do I call out again?
Do I run after them?
Do I just stand here?
I didn't know.
"What a lovely surprise!" Whispered a harsh voice into my ear. I felt their hands slowly wrap around my neck. As though about to choke me.
"Who are you?" I was near tears.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" The voice said with a smug tone. They released her arms and walked around so she was facing me. I could see eyes. But that was it.
I was blinded. It felt like I was blinded. All of the light rushed into my eyes. I felt my pupils decrease. A LOT. My eyes readjusted.
"No."
"Yes."
"No, it can't be. Alexa?"
