Her mind sets straight and she was confused most of the time. Now I have to live with 6 fucking idiots. She cringed at the thought.
"Omo! Are you okay??" she was called from behind by a concerned voice. Quickly she swivelled around to see a guy standing in front of her. He was tall and... muscular.
"Wh-what are you t-talking about?" she stuttered.
He looked down from top to toe. "Your feet. It's bleeding. Why are you even out here barefooted?" he scolded her kindly and she flinched before cringe.
"It's none of your business. They're my feet. Not yours," she told him off before turning and head to wherever she's going.
Suddenly, the guy lowered himself down and wrapped his arms from below her knees and another behind her back. He lifted her up bridal style with a tiny grunt.
"Am I that heavy?" she scoffed and he shook his vigorously with a sheepish smile sent to her. "Then why did you grunt?" she asked.
"Isn't that normal?" he shot back. She shook her head.
"Usually that would mean a guy really thinks she is heavy," she pursed her lips.
"I just want you to get to your estate safely without dragging your bloody feet," he smiled sincerely. She was fooled but not melted. She sagged onto his hold.
"God this is so dramatic," she muttered against his muscular chest. "So... do you live in this area? Where's your estate?" she asked curiously at him.
He turned around and held her tight with one hand as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She blushed embarrassingly. He pointed out at the similar large mansion like hers. It looked quite far but visible in their sights.
"That's me and my friends' estate," he smiled before stabling the hold. She nodded solemnly.
"Well it's good to know where you live neighbour," she smiled.
"You haven't know who I am though. My name is Im Jaebum but you can call me JB. Not Justin Bieber. Yours?" he asked for her name.
"Jaclyn Hwang," she replied. She shook her head mentally. Wait! Why the hell did I told him my Korean name? Shit. That was a mistake. She thought panicky. In a few seconds, it didn't matter to her.
"Jaclyn Hwang," he rolled out her name with his tongue. Is he trying to be husky or what? She scoffed internally.
"Anyway. Lead me to your estate Ms. Hwang," he smiled childishly.
She sighed, "You sound so formal. Just call me Jaclyn and I'll call you JB," she said and he laughed saying that he is being too formal to her.
The walk to her estate was filled with silence. It was obvious that the both of them were awkward with each other. He dropped her off in front of the giant main doors instead of the gate. He let out her down and gave her a smile.
"Be safe. Don't hurt yourself like that. Make sure to clean your feet," he advised, shoving his hands in his pockets as an act of fidgeting in the dull conversation.
It's not that dull. It's quite amusing. Her mind chirped.
She nodded solemnly to his order and before he left, she thought it would be a kiss on the cheek. It sounded cliché but thank God it wasn't. He fist bumped her on the shoulder.
"Hope we meet each other again," he told.
"Literally we can. Probably less than a kilometre away though," she joked and he laughed. She adored his kindness unlike some black ape in the house. She thought in disgust.
