I was Sandy Lee's Café enjoying my chicken sandwich . Nobody could ever replace the food at this café and its become my routine, ever since my dad left to the city. I Scanned every page of the newspaper, trying to find an interesting story that i could use for my school report. When the Headline 'Murder at Lake house', caught attention.
My watch started to beep alerting me , and i knew that i had to get back home, i had to get ready for school. And i absolutely 'loved' school!
I run up the street. My best friend Rosa stood there grinning creepily as leaned on the white wooden fence that surrounded my house. She had blonde wavy hair, green eyes, she wore black leather jacket over her white knee length dress and she paired them with her favorite knee-length boots. I walk to her quickly, i knew id be in big trouble for being late. "HI, your early " I said plastering a goofy smile on my face."And your late, what were you doing? Oh...don't tell hung up on a news paper. Girl I gotta put it to you seriously know what to hang up on don't you."She said sarcastically." Now go get changed, i don't want a hobo as my friend".
Rosa pushed me towards the house impatiently. I leave her standing by the gate as I run inside the house to brush my hair out and tie it into a neater bun. I climb up narrow staircase, and went straight past my parents room to mine. My door was colored pink, This room was mine since I born, so even if my belongings had changed through the years, my memories still remained within it.
I hurriedly open my closet grabbing my navy blue denim and green sweater. I collect my books from my desk and stuff it into my bag, praying that I had finished my homework last night. My denim barely gets past my lower waist, I struggle into them, holding my breathe. Rushing to the door with my unzipped bag and my half worn sweater, I rushed into our grey and white kitchen kissed my mother on her cheek."Mia Brooke, don't you dare forget to wish your dad happy birthday !" My mother yelled from the kitchen.
"I will mom, don't worry" I say as I zip up my loaded bag, sometimes I wonder if schools just loved making life harder for students. I wasn't even interested in business studies, so I barely do my assignments. My parents have practically given up telling me to put effort into my studies.
The one thing I loved was art, I mean other than my gorgeous boyfriend.I soon join Rosa outside.
"Wow, remind me next to leave you behind" she chided," You really need your priorities sorted".
I grab hold of her hand, and we run to the bus stop as fast as our legs could carry us. Lucky for us the bus had just arrived. We quickly stumble into the bus and rush to grab our seats at the back. They were always reserved for us, by Jordan's friends.
OK! the problem really starts here Rosa is secretly crushing on my boyfriend....And she thinks I don't know about it. Even though I knew about, I didn't say anything to her, because I was afraid of loosing a friend. And I didn't what things to fall apart, my friendship with her and my relationship with my boyfriend. I mean I trust this girl, she been with me like forever.
I was more excited to see my boyfriend, its been weeks or so, since i last saw him.
What could possibly go wrong... right ?
