Ari's POV:

Who is she?
The question lingered with me. I don't know why but I want to know badly.
It feels like I should know.
I walked close to my moms as we headed back to the pack hospital. The urge to glance back to look at her was irresistible. So I did.
She was walking and talking with my uncles. They took turns giving her the 3rd degree about anything and everything. It's understandable seeing that they don't want just anyone hanging around me.
But still. She just got hurt. We should make sure she's okay before you jump all over her.
"Your right little one." Mama said. Oh goddess did I say that out loud?! I looked at my uncles faces and it confirmed my fears.
Glancing over to Juliana all she did was smirk.
----------
We arrived at the pack hospital and before I could walk in mama stopped me. The others went in.
"Do you like her?" Do I like her?! Well of course not!!! I just met her! I mean she makes me feel weird inside and we haven't even had a real conversation... I felt my face heat up.
"Kinda." I mumbled out. She raised an eyebrow at me.
"I mean for a protector." I started to blush even more. Goddess help me.
"Oh..."
"Your wolf say anything to you yet?"
"No not yet." She let out a soft mhmm.
"Let me know when your wolf starts talking."
"Why, isn't my wolf supposed to come around when I'm 16?"
"Ya but sometimes curtain events can trigger it early."
"Like what?"
"Don't worry about it wolfy." Ugh, I hate when she won't answer me. She ruffled my hair.
"Do you want to train with Allen and I?"
"No maybe later."
She let out another mhmm.
"Okay you know where I am if you need me. Dinner is a 6:05 on the dot. You know the late penally." She kisses my cheek and walked away.
I passed Allen and mom on the way into the hospital. They say they where meting up with mama. Allen told me the room number. All my wolf senses haven't finished developing so following my nose isn't an option sadly.
When I got to the room I stopped just out side and poked my head in. I'm gonna spy on her a bit so I can figure her out and hopefully this weird feeling she gives me.
---------
Juliana's POV:

"You look fine." Jacob said as he finished giving me my checkup.
"Good." The lovely scent of chocolate and vanilla got strong. I saw my mate poke her head in the room but not fully come in.
{You think she's hiding from us?}
No but it looks like she's trying to spy on us.
{Oh I see}
I pretended not to notice her. Alice must have not gotten to the stealth part of being an assassin in her training.
"Are you gonna stay for dinner?"
"No I think I should head home for the day."
*Whine*
I turned to see that my mate had made that pained sound. It broke my heart.
"It's rude to spy on people young lady. Come in here." She did ask she was told.
"Sorry." She said quietly. As I was about to get up to leave she spoke.
"Do you really have to go?" She sounded like she was pleading. "I mean my moms pasta is amazing I would hate for you to miss out."
{Awe she wants us to stick around.}
"You know what that sounds fun."
-------
"We have to go get my mama. She should be in the training room with uncle Allen." We walked quietly together. She walked in front of me a bit. Her brown hair lightly flowed in the wind...so carefree.
"Um, we are here." She gave me a worried look.
Oh shit I was starring again! She's gonna think I'm a perv.
{Well technically}
Shut it.
"Oh ya!" We where standing in front of what I assumed was the training room door. Trying to quickly recover I opened it up avoiding the awkwardness.
"You shouldn't go in there."
"Why not?"
"Well if I know them Uncle Allen and mama are sparring. It's gets pretty intense."
"It will be fine, we can sit and watch."
"At least I tried..." She mumbled to herself. I walked into the room and it was gorgeous.
Wood flooring and white walls. It had a very minimalist design to it. Scanning the room I saw Alice and Allen.
Allen stood shirtless. He looked exhausted. He spit out blood and his eyes bore into Alice.
"Is that all?!"
"I haven't even started." And goddess it really doesn't look like she has. Allen looks like he was just in a car reck compared to Alice.
Her eyes glowed a orange blue. And her aura screamed power. The fuck did I just walk into?!
"I think you two have fought for more than enough." Jane spoke up and sipped on what smelled like coffee. She didn't look worried so I relaxed a little.
"No one more round." Allen said as he limped to Alice.
"Guys it's dinner time!" Ari spoke up from behind me.
"Shut up and wait outside!!!" He barked at her.
Instinctively I stepped in front of my mate.
"Don't you dare yell at her."
"And who are you dog?" Shit his full attention is on me now. I could barely escape him in a race and now I just challenged him to a fight!
{You can't help standing up for her.}
I know but shit. I'm about to get my ass whipped. He started to approach me slowly. I looked to Alice and she had sat down with Jane.
They were cuddling and didn't say a word!!!
Why aren't they helping?!
{Could be another test.}
Oh so they want to see what will happen huh?
{Ya we can win after all, the king did the heavy lifting. We just need a clean shot or two}
Right.
I pushed Ari from behind me and towards her mothers.
I squared up with him.
"I'm her protector."
