*This chapter is going back to seventh year during the final battle of Hogwarts. Your character is going to be leaving your family to help the Order. P.s. Remember, Draco turned to the Order in seventh year in this version. Enjoy!*
"I have to go, Mum! They need me! You just don't understand. I'm a witch, you have to face the facts that I won't always be here with you and dad," and with that you made your way through your childhood home's living room to the fireplace. *huff* Its hard living with muggle parents that understand almost nothing about magic. And it's even harder knowing they don't approve of you going off into battle when your only seventeen. But you need to look after your sister, and your friends.
"Plus, I have to look after Sara." And with that, you gave your mum a weak smile and shouted, "Hogwarts!" Little did you know, that was the last time you'd see your parents.
"There you are!" You'd only just barely arrived when you heard a familiar voice call to you. "I was beginning to think you weren't going to come." "Me? Not come? Why Fred Weasley, how dare you?!" You laughed as he pulled you into a tight embrace. "I love you." "I love you too, Fred."••••••
How could this be happening to me? The last thing I remembered... I was battling three death eaters alongside my soulmate and Percy.
I can't believe my ears. Percy? Cracking a joke?! No way. "Hello minister. Did I mention I'm resigning?" Percy was good again! Hooray! "You're joking Perce," Fred shouted through the ruckus. "Woo hoo. Percy!" I encouraged. Fred being obviously still surprised with Percy shot back with, "You actually are joking, perce... I don't think I've heard you joke since you were-" then, the air was filled with rubble and dust as everything around us exploded. I remember flying back against the wall very hard and fast, and hitting my head, and then, darkness ensued. Where was Fred?
••••••
Ugh. *cough cough* "where am I?" Everything hurt. My head hurt, my legs hurt, my face hurt, every-single-part of me hurt. "Look, she's awake." Fred-no-George. "Where's Fred?" "There's something you need to see." This time it was Percy speaking. Alarmed, I pressed on again, "where's Fred?" George grabbed my hand and lead to me to the other side of the Great Hall. Yes, the other side. The side where the deceased are. Desperate now, I repeat, "where's Fred?!"
tears now filling my eyes, and my eyes started stinging. But then I saw. I saw what they needed to show me but couldn't tell me about. And I did not want to see it. The worst thing in my entire life, right in front of me. It was my soulmate, the love of my life, the light to my sky, the peanut butter to my jelly, the-my thoughts were interrupted by George pulling me down to the ground with him. Actually, it was more like falling. He was crying. I've never seen a Weasley cry.
This was very tough for me to endure, I couldn't imagine how George must've felt. I pulled him into an embrace, then, finally let the tears and emotions flow down my face. But Fred just lays there; lifeless, still, pale, and lonely. Broken, dirty, and bloody. How could this happen to us? Why did this happen to us? We were supposed to be married. Have kids. The whole shabang. I guess happily ever after really doesn't exist...~••••••~
One year and five months later
I first saw him since the war yesterday on a run to Diagon Alley. His hair looks even more voluminous and luscious than ever. It's gotten slightly longer and less tame, and a lighter blonde. If I said he didn't look appealing, I'd be lying. His biceps have grown considerably, and also his chest, because I can see his pecs through his tight tee-shirt.
Mmm, Quidditch treated him well. I wonder if he works out. Wait-what am I talking about?! He's a Slytherin, and I haven't seen him since the battle of Hogwarts. He was actually pretty heroic when he threw Harry's wand to him, but then had to go ruin it when he ran away with his mum.
I was minding my own business in Flourish and Blotts carrying a huge stack of parchment and quills that obstructed my eyesight, when someone walked right into me! I dropped everything in my arms and fell on my bum. Hard. "Ouch! Oi, watch where your going." But when I looked up I was met with a surprise. His hand extended out for me to take it, an expectant look on his face.
Does he recognize me? Surely not. I've changed so much since then. I took his hand and he pulled me up effortlessly. Wait-no-don't blush. Curse my pale face. I cleared my throat and turn my face from his eyesight. "Draco? Draco Malfoy," I attempted to sound surprised. "Yes? Look, I'm sorry about the mess. And for knocking you down." "It's no problem, really."
He helped me clean the mess, then we went to the front of the shop. "You still don't recognize me, do you?" "Um, no. I can't say I do... I'm sorry." But a look of sudden realization flashed across his face.
"Wait-I do remember. You were in the same year as me-Ravenclaw if I remember correctly." "Actually, I'm a Gryffindor. But that's ok." It got uncomfortably silent, so I looked a my watch. "Oh, I-um- have to go. I just had to pick some stuff up for work. I don't want to be late." You turn for the door but are stopped by a hand on your arm. "Oi-um-so, (your last name), where do you work? Maybe I can walk back with you?" You smiled and slightly blushed. "I'd like that."*•••*
So I hope everyone liked the series of flashbacks that took place in this chapter. I think it turned out pretty good! Next chapter is going to be VERY amazing with lots of amazing surprises in store. Thanks lovelies! Tata!
