Hollyn's POV
Opening my eyes after everything that happened - the fire, Sam saving me, the hospital, then blacking out - I was greeted by Zee who was still in shock. "Hey!!" she whispered. "Hey!" I smiled. "How ya feeling?" she asked concerned but smiling. "Better, sore and tired, but better!" I smiled reassuringly. She sighed in relief and turned her head to the door, nodded for someone to come in. I opened my eyes even more, only to see Sam, Dean, and Alana standing at the foot of my hospital bed! "Sammy here hasn't shut up about you since they took you back" said Dean, smirking as he hit Sam all brotherly like on the back. "He really hasn't, and I love you and everything, but it got annoying!" Alana said in her seven-year-old sassiness and walked over to Zee. "I'm glad you're okay!" she said as she was hugging me. I hugged her back even though the IV in my right arm was the most annoying thing on the planet at the moment, and kissed her head, thanking God they were both okay! "Is mom okay? Where is she??" I asked, not remembering what had happened to her. Looking at the boys she'd barely known for a second like she trusted them with her life right then and there, Zee then bent down do Alana's height!

Ziva's POV
Trying to keep Alana from finding out her mom had died, I bent down to her height and took her hand. "A, I need to talk to sissy for a minute about something suuuuppeerr top secret, so I need you to go with Dean and get us some breakfast" I told her, looking up at Dean and Sam. "Yeah it's super top secret, and they don't want us to know about it until later!" Dean told her in his little kid voice. I smiled at him; he's so good with her AND he's so attractive when he's talking like he's seven! He picked her up, like she was his little sister, and told her that she could sit on his shoulders if she wanted to (of course she wanted to) and they took off to the cafeteria. I got up and took a deep breath. "Hol, dad was a hunter!" I came straight out and said it as I turned to her, and she looked at me like she knew that already. "I know, he always came home with pictures of him with deer and ducks, what does that have to do with mom!?" she said with a bit of aggravation in her voice. "Not that kind Hol!" Sam took over, able to tell that I was so close to losing it. She looked at him confused. "He hunted supernatural monsters - demons, ghosts, vampires, zombies, the works - and Dean and I met him; we worked a job together and he showed us your pictures, but then he showed us this picture..." he paused, handing Hollyn the picture he had kept in his wallet. It was of this baby girl in a hospital NICU and she was yellow. "This is Alana, I remember this! I remember having to say goodbye because the doctors said she had too much brain damage to live through the night, and I remember Zee couldn't go in because she hadn't hit thirteen yet! I remember mom going to the chapel to pray and all of a sudden Alana's vitals started improving; later a CT scan showed no trace of brain damage!" Hol reminisced looking down at the picture smiling so big. "The doctors called her a living breathing miracle, now that's what mom calls her..." she continued in tears coming to the realization that nobody wanted her to come to. "My mom....she's dead isn't she?" she looked up at Sam. The room was silent for a moment, then he spoke. "Your dad said she sold her soul so that Alana would live, and that something was going to come for her in seven years. His plan was to go home to all of you and devise a plan--" he started, not getting to finish. "But that something got to him first, because he knew she sold her soul! Mom told us it was a bad car wreck!" Hollyn interrupted, apologizing shortly after and bursting into tears immediately after. Sam, this completely random stranger we had only known for eight hours, got up and hugged her. "This is what I meant when I said I wouldn't let go, I'm right here Hol, I got you and I'm not letting go!!" he told her as he held her in his arms. Her life, our lives, everything just changed....but I knew one thing right then and there
He was falling in love with her, and she was falling in love with him...even if she didn't know it yet...and that moment gave it away for me!
