Emma's Pov

We walked out of the restaurant, onto the damp sidewalk. I guess it had been raining a bit. "Did you drive here?" I asked Lei.

"Yeah, where's your car?" Lei questioned back.

"At the apartment." I said. "You went in without me?!?! I though we agre..." She was yelling when I interrupted.

"No, I just parked there Lei, calm down!" I said sternly.

"Oh ok, good." She said breathing, and straightening her shirt.

"Car is this way." She said pointing weirdly.

"Ok, lets go then." We walked farther, and stopped at the car. Lei was patting down her pockets, and then looked at me with a weird smile.

"What?" I said crossing my arms.

"The keys...." She started.

"Yeah what about them?" I said furrowing my brows.

"They are..." This time I let her finish. "Locked in the car." She said softly. "Please don't be mad." She said tearing up.

"Lei...Lei, hey..." I said walking over to her, I pulled her into a hug.

"I'm not mad." I said mumbling into her shoulder.

"I'm not worried about you being mad, we've got no family here for help." She sighed.

"I've got an idea, but I'm kind of scared to do it." I said releasing her.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I have Cody's number..." I got cut off.

"Since when!?" She yelled.

"Let me finish, will ya?" I asked exasperated.

"Yeah okay." She fixes her shirt again.

"He wrote it on the check." I finished.

"Okay then..." She starts. "What's the problem, call him." She points at my phone.

"Okay will do captain." I lifted my phone up, I placed my thumb on the home button, which woke the screen. After I opened it, I went to contacts. Down to 'Cody', and hit call. I lifted it to my ear, and after two rings a voice said, "Hello?" My eyes widened.

"Um... It's Olive Garden girl, I need you to come back, like now." I stumbled across my words.

"Slow down... What's going on?" He asked.

"I need you to come back, my friend has locked the keys in the car." I sighed, embarrassed to have to ask.

"Okay, stay inside of the restaurant please." I heard a door, seeming to be his house door.

"Wait if you are already home, you can stay. We will be okay." I looked at Lei. She shook her head.

"No, I'm coming, please go inside though." He instructed.

"Why?" I asked.

 "Because there are creeps here."

He said silently. "Okay. Wait will you stay on the phone?" I asked.

"Why?" He asked mocking my voice. That earned a laugh from me.

"I don't know, I kind of like your voice." Wait, did I just say that? I looked at Lei for conformation. Yep sure did, her jaw is on the ground, and her eyes are as big as saucers. I cleared my throat, "Um...I should go." I said.

"Wait, No..." To late, I had already hung up. I grabbed a still shocked Lei, and pulled her up to the door of the restaurant. I pulled her inside, to the bathroom. I hopped onto the counter and threw my head into my hands.

"I'm so stupid Lei!" I grumbled aggravated.

"Hey Em, flush that bad attitude." She pulls me off the counter.

"Come over here." She pulls me into one of the stalls.

"Not like I had a choice." I laughed.

"What are we doing in the stall though?" I said looking at the cream walls.

"Flush it." She said pulling me out of my trance.

"Huh?" I asked confused.

"Flush the tude." She says more clearly.

"Who says tude?" I questioned, but nevertheless flushing the toilet.

"There." She and I say at the same time. This caused us to both laugh. When we came out, we both froze at the sight. Cody was leaning against the counter smirking.

"Um I'll be outside." Lei scooted out the door. Then poking her head back in briefly to say, "Have fun." After that the whole room was silent. We were just staring at one another.

Then he finally says something, "You didn't have to hang up..." He smiled, waiting for me to say something. I didn't though, I looked at the floor. "I thought it was cute." Then he left.

'What he thought it was cute?' I thought. I smiled and shook my head. Maybe the night wasn't totally ruined.
