Ruby's Journey

Before It All Began

In the village of Twinnel, there lived a Man who was the lord of Twinnel as well as the guardian of a "mystical" Item that was to be kept safe out of the hands of evil. The man had a beautiful women who had known him ever since they were little and they had two kids twins in fact, a girl and a boy. One day, a mysterious man showed up and confronted the lord to give him the item of which the lord had been guarding for decades. The lord said, "No, I will not give you the staff!" and called the guards. As the guards dragged the mysterious man out of the room he said "You will regret your decision I will be back!!" and was thrown out of the village. Five years past with the twins both at the age of 5 and there was no sign of the mysterious man that came that day. The Twins were playing out in the garden picking flowers when their parents had come to get them. They knew with what the mysterious man had said it would not be safe for the kids to stay so they made a plan with there being one last meeting the lord had to do they decided to leave separately so that the lord could finish his last piece of business before leaving. So that night he had his wife took their son with her and go settle in a new village so that when the lord finished his work for the last time, The lord and their daughter would come and join them. So the wife and son left to the settle into their new home. A few days later, the lord had finished what needed to be done and had planned to leave tomorrow. The next day, the lord began to say his goodbyes to every one in the village. Meanwhile, The daughter was picking flowers when she saw a strange figure of in the distance and ran to her dad out of fear. The lord kneeled down to his dear daughter and said "What's wrong, little one?".  She pointed at the person off in the distance. The lord then looked where she was pointing and he turned speechless that it was the mysterious man from that day and called the guards to protect the village. The guards then told everyone to run to their houses and to remain hidden.  In that moment, the lord grabbed his baby girl and knew what the man was coming for and ran in the house. The lord put her down and said, "My precious little one I need you to stay still alright?".  The daughter shook her head in agreement and stood in what looked to be a magic circle. The lord then pulled out the mystical Item and stood it up next to her and began the cast a spell to make the girl and Item become one. After casting it, the lord grabbed a sword and the girl's hand and ran out of the house and there he was the mysterious man who came that day. The lord stood with a hand across his little girl and the other on the sword pointing it at him. The man then said, "So we meet again, eh?".  The lord said "Who are you?!".   The man replied, "I am Jinjaru and You should of given it to me, Now you'll pay for it". The lord yelled to his little girl to run and hide so she ran and hid in some hay by the well in town square. Jinjaru said then, "Are you ready? Or should I go and kill the girl first".  The lord then began to fight with the man and said "You will never touch my daughter!".  After a few hours the fight was still going on,  houses burning, people screaming, farm animals running away from the danger. Then, there was a big thud and the sound of bricks tumbling down, it was the lord being thrown into a wall and landed next to the hay by the well. The daughter poked her head out and said "Papa?". The lord said, "I'm fine, stay here" as he got up blood began to gush out and he fell to the ground.  "Papa!!", The girl yelled. Jinjaru said laughing "HAHAHA you are no match for me!". The lord said, "I know I can not beat you but I know one day you will fall by someone I know quite well!", he looked at her and looked back at the mysterious man.  Jinjaru replied, "As if I'd fall to someone weaker then I" and began to walk off and said, "You and this village are already done for!". The daughter then jumped out of the hay and runs to her father's side. The lord saying to his baby girl, "My dear, it's time for me to go--", and gets cut off by the sounds of planted bombs exploding all over the village. The lord said, "Time for you to leave, little one" and gave her a magic orb, "This will protect you from Jinjaru". She took the orb and placed it in her satchel. The lord said something but the daughter didn't catch it to well cuz of the loud explosions. Then, he sat up and hugged her and said, "Go Ruby, Go find your brother and keep safe from Jinjaru... I love you and your brother so much, now go and take this!,  -he gave her a sword in it's sleeve to give to her brother-  "Now Go!!" The lord said with his last breathe. Ruby then began to run out and away from the village. A few miles away, she turned around to take one last look at home and continued to run with tears falling. The village exploded into a giant mushroom cloud but she did not turn back and disappeared to the horizon.  Jinjaru staring at the remains of Twinnel and said, "So the little girl lived, eh? No Matter she'll spread the news of the village being destroyed by me" and began to laugh evilly".
