Amora was just leaving campus from her night class. She enjoyed getting to sleep all day but she admitted going to night classes were a bit tiring and creepy. Walking back to her dorm alone was not her ideal situation but it was something she had to put up with as a philosophy major. She had wondered if her roommate had been back yet, although she had told her that she didn't know if she was going to leave for the weekend to go stay with her sister in Florida. But that was out of the question too because she kept putting off calling her, and she had thought it would be too last minute to try and make plans with her.

Her sister was younger than her, only by a year. She had told her two days ago that she was going to call her soon because she had something important that she wanted to tell her. Why she wanted to wait all the way till Friday, Amora had no idea. But she was still waiting for her sister's call tomorrow.

She began to regret leaving her jacket at her dorm, it was getting cold. She could feel a strong breeze blow by, it was the middle of winter. She was getting chills and she could feel goosebumps on her arms. She looked at the time, seven o' clock. But it looked a lot darker than that. She looked up at the sky, and all of the grey clouds.

She began to think she's hadn't heard from her brother either, where was he? Probably busy, it's not like he ever had time for Amora or Cher, her sister. When her parents died, her brother who had already been eighteen had taken custody of them both, but at the first chance Arturo got, he shipped them both off to boarding school and right into a fancy college after, but Cher didn't have the same vision, without the approval of there so distant brother she fled the country and moved to Florida. She doesn't have many friends, because she finds its easier to fly under the radar, she's so paranoid that Arturo will find her and bring her back. Amora would have gone with her, but the idea of college intrigued her and she would rather not spend the rest of her life running from her brother. But she loved them both even though it was hard to keep in touch with them a lot of the times. And most times her brother would just disappear into thin air.

She looked ahead she was almost back to her dorm but then the light by the side walk closest to her blew out and she was left in almost complete darkness. She tried to take out her phone so that she could see ahead of her but just then something heavy came down over her head and she blacked out.
....
Sweat poured down his body  as he threw rapid and deadly jabs into the punching bag in front of him.

He was trained in almost every type of combat and martial arts there was, he exercised everyday and his toned abs and buff muscles were there to prove it. He stood perfectly still taking long deep breaths in and out trying to slow down the rapid speed of his heartbeat.

Then there was a knock on the gym door.
Nico. What is it?

A tall buff man walked in and handed him the phone and without saying a word he was out of the gym. He looked at the name on the phone and was almost relieved to see it.

Nico. Tell me there is good news...

Lorenzo. Yes Boss, we have the girl

Nico. Where is she?

Lorenzo. In the basement of the operations just like you asked

Nico. Good work, make sure that she is comfortable and well taken care of, and do me a favor and keep an eye on Mylon to will you

Lorenzo. No problem boss

And with that Nico disconnected the call. He had sent Lorenzo on a very important mission. He was Nico's right hand man, he was someone that Nico trusted more than any man in the world, he trusted Lorenzo with his life. And although he trusted all of his men when it came down to Mylon, something bothered him.

Nico runs a "family" its a better name then mob, but in this family there are rules and although Mylon was able to prove himself innocent to the assault of not one but two women just a few months ago, Nico still had his doubts and he didn't want Amora hurt especially not if he needed her. Protocols were protocols and the use of violence is only allowed when absolutely needed and he had no reason to believe that any of the men would feel the need to be violent with her.

After his phone call with Lorenzo he had much confidence that his plan would see it's way through and he would only hold Amora until he got what he wanted then she would be free to walk.

He grabbed a towel and threw it around his neck on the way back to the main part of his house. The gym he had at his house was way smaller than the one they had at the Operations ground, but he insisted he trained alone. The house was inherited from his mother who had only died a few months ago. A lot of people told him that it was the cancer but Nico knew she had more years to live before it actually killed her and she died five years earlier than anyone had expected. He couldn't help but think that someone was trying to get a message across to him, and the message was received.

He sat on a chair on the balcony overlooking the garden at the back of his house. His mother loved flowers and the sun she was such a lively women and he would never forget her, he would avenge her then she would be at peace.

He could still picture her hand on his arm as they walked though the garden together. Discussing family matters or just simply to admire it's beauty and Nico couldn't see it before but he could see it now, he could see how beautiful it truly is. He took in the sun for a few more moments and then headed inside. There he showered and then changed into a white button down shirt and a grey suit jacket to go over it matching it with a pair of grey trousers and black shoes. Nico was always dressed to impress. He ran a very important organization and the people there were going to respect him.
