This story is dedicated to a lost cat, named Jack. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back when Me(as a child) and My dad lived at Burlington,in a trailer park, we didn't have a cat except for the next door neighboor who's cat had kittens. I don't remember that day.but my dad told me that I pointed at the ginger kitten and he said: "Take it if you want it."
So I did.
(Most of my memories about Jack take place in biggsvile outside of Burlington, where my dad lived inside a house that once belonged to his father)
Jack would scratch me every time I hugged him or played withing him, despite receiving scratches on my arms...it was all A-okay for me because I cared so much about him. I remember one day when he was lying down on(maybe puring) the floor,then I came to him and started to pet him--I might have scratched his chest XD sweet memories--sometime later he swished his paws at me and I kept on going.
Jack is a outside cat; most days he would be outside til night and meow at the door til one of us let him inside, we didn't know what he did during his exploration time,but I am real sure he may have ventured with other cats or fought them.
I remember one time, when it was dark out and I was watching TV, though I had the strangest feeling Jack wasn't inside. it wasn't til my dad said "where's Jack?" that I went to the door.
When I opened the white door , his orange eyes shot up to the door for a quick second. then he went inside the house past my feet seemingy like he was used to this kind of routine for one of us to forget about him.
Nala( black and white female cat) came along, from my Aunt Shannon's Cat's litter of kittens. I named the kitten Nala because I was still 'lion king fan' whom was found of the unique name 'Nala' to a certain point that I would have named another cat that. Nala and Jack might have gotten along, from her lengthy time inside the house for a verity of a few months.
Nala was the most beatyfiest cat that I would never firgotten,till this day, I remenbered the day when she was meowing and I felt something was wrong--I didn't know she was going to have a hairball stuck inside her neck.
The next day, My mom was there and told me Nala died in my dads car on the way to the vets or the hosptial for the animals. She died of a hairball. I cried. The passage above.. I really shed some tears today at the sentence above this: 'Nala was the most beauyfiest cat' because she was really a part of my life.
Through it all, Jack was still there.
I still got scratches from him, I still loved him, and I still think he is utterly adorable with a 'M' on his forehead.
Last year in 2011, he got into a fight with another cat.
Here's what my dad and Dixie told me:
My Dad's side of the story.
I was going outside, when I saw Jack lain on the grass. Why is he on the grass? I thought, coming down the wooden porch to see my cat with a big wound on his right ear--you could of seen the hole--and he didn't react to my presence.
Dixies side:
I was giving him some of the medicien for his ear,but I was skeptical at first,he really was a fighter to everyone who messed with him. But when he didn't fight nor scratch me, I knew it was real.
Since the event,Jack has been purring a lot and doesn't go outside a lot.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
When I came to Dixies and My Dad's place, I could see a little round hole beside Jack's right orange ear. Jack really got into a bad fight. was my first thought, when I came right up to him and say "HAI JACK!"
On December,two weeks before Christmas, Jack disappeared.
I don't believe he is dead, despite what my dad has said he needs his pills to survive, but I am fairly confident Jack the cat is still alive as a living old fighter and is probably exploring with the other cats who went missing a week after him...
Dedicated to Jack, the cat :) I miss you little old timer.
EDIT: 50% of me says he's gone, I had experiance a few months ago where I had seen a transparent Jack walk into the room. It was almost like he never left. :(
