5:20 Friday afternoon
I walked into applebees with my family and sat at a table taking out my phone and checking my most recent notifications. I checked all my notifications on instagram then set my phone down when our server came and asked what we would like to drink and I told her i'd have a water then she took my family's drink orders. I put my phone down and started a conversation about something interesting that went on at school today with my dad and mom.
Elijah's POV
I was sitting at my table at Applebee's with my brother Ethan when I turned my head and saw a girl with long brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes. She was wearing a black tank top with a military green jacket over it and khaki pants on. She looked gorgeous and I couldn't stop looking at her until my brother's hand was in front of my face trying to get my attention.

I turned back to him my eyebrows raised a bit "what?" He looked at me then over at the girl I was looking at "you were staring at that girl over there like you liked her or something" I smiled a bit trying to act like I didn't like the girl "hah no way I was just looking at the picture by their table.." I lied to him feeling my hands getting a bit sweaty so I rubbed them on my pants. Ethan was still looking at me then shrugged picking up his phone and texting his girlfriend. "I'm going to the bathroom" I said getting up and going towards the bathroom noticing I would have to pass the table that the girl was sitting at. I passed her table and entered the bathroom and quickly did my business then checked my hair in the mirror making sure it wasn't looking crazy.

I fixed it then walked back out of the bathroom walking a bit slower thinking of something I could do to get her to notice me. As I was walking by her table I "dropped" my phone and pretended like I didn't know.
Your POV
I saw the boys bathroom door open but paid no attention to who was walking out until I heard a thud on the ground next to my table, I looked down noticing that a phone was sitting there on the floor. I got out of the chair I was in telling my parents i'll be right back bending down to pick up the phone and heading over to the table that the guy who dropped his phone was sitting at.

As I approached the table both of the boys at the table looked up at me. One of them with short hair that was swept to the side of his forehead asked me "um hello do you need something?" I looked over at him then at the other boy noticing that he didn't look bad "um yes you dropped your phone by my table" I put my hand in my pocket pulling out his phone and handing it to him.

He smiled and grabbed it from my hands "that's where it went! Thanks so much...um what's your name?" I smiled back at him "yeah no problem, my name's Y/N"he set his phone on the table "that's a great name! Thanks again for bringing my phone over" I giggled a bit "Thanks, what a your name?" He pointed to the boy across the table that was watching us with a grin on his face "that's my brother Ethan and i'm Elijah" I put my hands in my pocket feeling then getting sweaty "those are nice names.." Elijah looked back at me "thanks but your name is better" I laughed "hah yeah right!" He laughed too then picked up his phone and looked back at me "um I know this is going to sound weird but could you put your number in my phone? You seem like a chill girl and maybe we could hang out sometime" I nodded taking my hands out of my pocket taking his phone and putting my number in his phone then naming my contact the chill girl from Applebee's and handed him back to him smiling.

He looked at the contact name and laughed "that's a great contact name" I laughed then turned around seeing my dad looking over at me gesturing me to come over since our food had arrived.

I turned back to Ethan and Elijah "it was great meeting you two but I have to go back to my seat my food has arrived" Elijah nodded "alright, text me whenever you can!" I nodded and waved bye to them before walking back to my table and sitting down smiling. My parents looked at me "so who was that?" I looked up at my dad "oh it was no one" I told him but in my mind I was thinking he is just a cute boy that I've fallen in love with.
