CHAPTER 1
where she may be
her shadow is near
she gives you hope
where else he creates fear
.
„Hey Jasmine WAKE UP", my mother yelled from downstairs.
"Just ten more minutes" I mumbled into my pillow.
"No now!" mom yelled again. Actually it should have been impossible for my mother to hear that quiet mumble, but mothers always seemed to know what their children were thinking or doing, even if it should have been impossible to do so.
"Okay, okay I'm coming", I yelled back and groaned in frustration.
My mother knew exactly that I haven't slept much lately but still she woke me up at 7:00 in the morning. That was so unfair. School only started at 8:00 so I really couldn't understand all the rush.
I stood up and walked to the bathroom, where I took a quick shower and slid a towel around my body. Then I checked myself in the mirror.
I was 5.7 feet high thanks to my long legs and had a curvy, feminine body. I had dark red, waist long hair with natural curls at the end. With my soft pink lips, my cute little nose and flawless white alabaster skin I had all the guys drooling over me and the girls envied me because of my beautiful thick silky hair and my body. But my most stunning features were my mesmerizing green eyes. They weren't just green, but had three different shades of green. Around the iris they had a dark green color like the leaves of a rose. The rest of my eyes was a light green, similar to the fresh leaves of young little trees. And in that light green I had sea green spots.
The mysterious part of it was that there was no one else in my family with green eyes. And as if my stunning eye color wasn't enough I had long black lashes that made my eyes pop out even more.
Thanks to my looks I usually didn't feel the need to use any makeup; the only exceptions were really important occasions.
I gave my reflection one last smile before I left the bathroom. My hair was left open to dry on its own.
Back into my room I went into my closet to search for some suitable clothes.
I decided to wear dark blue jeans that stopped short over my knees and a light silver-green tunic. My hair was put into a ponytail but I left some strands out so that they hung loosely around my face.
I grabbed my bag and ran down the stairs.
"Morning mom" I said and gave her a peek on the cheek. Then I snatched the bottle of milk from her hands, went to the kitchen to get the chococrisps and a bowl and took a seat at the table. I was still eating when my big brother Joshua came downstairs.
