Sat by the bridge in the middle of the night with a view of the valley and a head full of sky,
My body cradled by your arms, a mothers egg protected by her nest,
Warm breath in my ear, all your whispers of the future,
Then you hesitate with your eyes filled with sad,
That tonight's the night the aardwolves hunt,
(The night you had to go.)
I assumed you were the aardwolves prey, you let me jump to my conclusion,
But with the sun you ran away, you left me in delusion
Yesterday night I was sat by the bridge, watching the aardwolves play,
Though the sky was grey and empty I still hope to see your face.
