CHAPTER 12

EMALEYS P.O.V.

I hear the doorbell ring and a smile jumps across my face but I quickly brush it off.

"FINNY, JAX IS HERE."

I straighten my dress out and go to the door. As I open the door and smile at Jax I see a women with him and my smile fades a little but I quickly pull it back up.

"Hello there Jax and uhh.."

"Tara," she says smiling.

"Tara.." I smile back.

"I uhh I called and Finn answered, I asked if I could bring someone and he said yes, is uhh that okay?" he informed and asked me.

"Yes of course. You look lovely Tara. Please, please come in."

I shut the door behind them as they walk into my house.

"Umm please make yourselves at home. I will go get Finn, Im not sure what's keeping him," I say with a smile. Im not sure why this girl is making me jealous, I have a fiancè. As I make my way up the stairs and open the door Finn is standing by the bed picking out a shirt and tie. I come up behind him and run my hands up his back, he smiles.

"What do you think babe?" he asks. As I examine each one I tell him the white button down with the red tie. He puts it on and I button it up.

"You look amazing," I say and kiss his lips.

We walk downstairs and I introduce him to Tara.

I watch Finn as we sit down. I seat everyone and go to get dinner on the table. As I take a seat I notice that Finn and Tara are hitting it off. I look at Jax and spit out a smile. He sees right through it and makes a "im sorry" face. I decide the best thing is to make conversation with Jax. I ask him how the business is and he says its dangerous; we both chuckle. Before I know it everyones plate is clean so I get up taking everyones plates to the kitchen. Finn and Tara are still in and in depth conversation so Jax brings the meal dishes into the kitchen.

"Hey, Emaley Im sorry if you don't like her, we arent together or anything. I didnt want to be a third wheel or anythi--" Before he could finish I kissed him, I was kissing him and I dont know why. I felt the surprise in his face then he slid his arm around my waist and him push me up against the counter.

I pulled away,

"I'm so sorry, I... I didn't, Im sorry," I apologized.

"No darlin its ok, umm this would be really hard to tell your uhh Finn so I wont say anything if you dont. I know thats a lot of pressure but" he trailed off.

"No, that sounds good," I smiled. He smiled back.

"Would you help me bring dessert out?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am," he smiled largely at me with his straight pearly white teeth. I bit my lip at him and took a deep breathe. As I walked toward the dining room I noticed that Finn and Tara werent sitting at the table anymore. I set the stuff down and looked at Jax who looked just as confused as me. I peeked into the living room and saw Finn with his arm on the back of the couch behind Tara with her laughing. I stood in the doorway and watched. I know I can't get mad but I still love Finn. Jax rubs my shoulders and I can tell we are connected but just friends.

After Jax and Tara left I gave him my cell phone number to Jax and told him to keep in touch.

Finn was cleaning up the the kitchen I came up behind him and laid my head on his back.

"That Tara is really something," he said with a smile on his face. "Mhm," I walked away annoyed and sat on the couch. They can be friends, Jax and I are friends, I feel bad about the kiss but I dont talk about Jax all the time and I can see that Finn will talk about her all the time now. I went to sit on the couch and left Finn. The phone starts to ring and I go to answer it but Finn yells at me not to. Im a little suspicious but I shrug it off.

"Im uh I'm gonna go to the store," he yells at me as he grabs the keys. When he leaves I check the phone to see who the last call was.

"Tara," I read out loud.
