The rays of the full moon spread across the horizon. It was already late that evening. The streets were empty and stores have closed already. Silence filled the place. The only sound that can be heard was the engine of a car, parked in front of an apartment.

Chiaki slowly opened her eyes when she felt Shuta pulled himself from the kiss. He also opened his eyes and found hers looking back at him. He could feel the heat on his chest as blood was pumped in a fast speed by his beating heart. He was breathing heavily.

"I kissed her..." He couldn't believe what he just did. He continued to stare at her stunned face, not knowing what to do next.

"He... k-kissed... me..." She thought similarly. She made a huge gulp as her eyes continued to look back at him. She could still feel the warmth all over her face. The silence continued for a while, until a cellphone suddenly rang, startling both of them.

"A-ah!" Both of them exclaimed as Chiaki hurriedly took her phone out from her bag.

"H-hello?" She said. "Ah, Akina-neesan, what is it?" She continued to talk to her sister for a short while. Shuta just watched her.

"Argh, what should I tell her now?" He continued to worry in his thoughts. "Maybe I should apologize to her. Or... maybe I should finally confess to her...?" He kept asking himself. A little bit later, Chiaki was already done with her phone conversation.

"I'm sorry, Love, I should go inside now. My sister's waiting." She said plainly, trying to act normal. Shuta's eyes widened and his face turned pale.

"S-she's i-inside your h-house?!" He asked worriedly. "D-did she see us? She might kill me!" He then made a huge gulp.

"Hahahaha, what's with your expression? It's not like she's a ghost or something, right? Hahaha." She giggled. She then looked at him, smiling. "T-thank you for today. I appreciate your efforts so much. Thank you, really." She said, trying her best to fight the awkwardness, as she opened the door.

"Ah, wait!" Shuta suddenly grabbed her arm to stop her.

"Huh?" She nervously looked back at him, surprised.

"L-love, um..." He started to speak up. "... about the k-kiss..."

Chiaki then giggled. "I-I know you just got carried away with everything that happened tonight." She then looked away. "Don't worry, I won't over-think or assume anything." She added. She then hurriedly alighted the car. "Take care. Good night." She said and then closed the door. Shuta wasn't able to say anything. He just watched her as she went inside her place. He then went home after.

"Ah!" Chiaki jumped on her bed and hugged a pillow tightly. She closed her eyes and buried her face on it. Her sister has just left her place. She looked after Kiki while Chiaki was outside that day.

"We really kissed. I can't believe it." She thought, smiling. The image of his face that she saw earlier before she closed her eyes during the kiss formed in her mind. She could feel her face blushing again. "Ah!" She then released her hug on the pillow and laid down completely on her bed, her arms spread on both sides. She stared at the ceiling for a while. "But what I said is also possible." She talked to herself. "He might really just got carried away with his proposal." She then closed her eyes and sighed. Hours then passed. When she opened her eyes again, she realized that it was morning already. She looked at her clock and saw that it was 6:30 already.

"Oh no, I don't have time to exercise anymore." She whispered to herself as she got up from her bed. She did her usual routine in preparation for work, except the yoga. After all her activities, she was about to leave her apartment.
