Mission 6: Honeymoon (part 7)

It was AAA's last night at the Boracay island. Shuta and Chiaki decided to have a walk along the shore and have spent their time confessing their mutual feelings. Chiaki's head was leaning on Shuta's shoulder while his arm was still wrapped around her. They didn't notice that slowly, the people around them have been leaving the shore already and the restaurants and other shops were closing already.

"Do you want to lie down?" Shuta suddenly asked after realizing that there were very few people left around the area already.

"Huh?" Chiaki then looked at him. "But we'll have sand around us." She responded.

"Haha. We can take a shower after returning to our suite anyway." He rebutted.

"T-together?" She asked immediately, making Shuta's cheeks flush.

"What did you say...?" He tried to check if he heard her correctly the first time.

"I-I mean, together, we'll go back to our suite together later." She lied hesitantly and laid down. "Oh no! Why did I even ask him that?! It's so embarrassing..." She cried in her thoughts. Shuta couldn't help but feel butterflies in his stomach. Still, he was able to smile and lay down beside her. Chiaki looked at him for a while.

"I have a question." She suddenly blurted out after a few minutes. Shuta looked at her.

"What is it?" He asked. "You want to shower together later?" He teased, chuckling. Chiaki's cheeks flushed.

"Y-ye- I-I mean, let's not talk about that now." She responded shyly. "Um, I'm just curious about this one." She started. "W-why do you... like me...?" She could feel her cheeks getting warmer. She was then surprised when Shuta let out a light chuckle.

"Haha. I just do." He answered while staring at the sky in front of them. He closed his eyes. "Mind if I also ask you the same question?" He asked back.

"Ah, n-no..." Chiaki answered shyly. "Um, you're a very honest and gentle person. And I really like it when I feel safe whenever I'm with you. And I am happy whenever you're around. I have this feeling that you're the kind of person who will treasure me wholeheartedly." She then looked at him and saw him smile with his eyes still closed. She also stretched her lips into a smile and extended her hand to reach his and locked their fingers together. Shuta opened his eyes, surprised with her gesture. He looked at her and they stared at each other for a short moment.

"Love, will you date me?" He suddenly asked sincerely. He noticed in Chiaki's eyes that she was surprised with his question.

"O-of course I will..." She asked shyly, looking away. "I didn't know that you still have to ask me that." She murmured, blushing.

"Hahaha, I'm not the kind of person who easily assumes things. I want to be sure, especially when it comes to our relationship." He responded. He then squeezed her hand. "Thank you." He added. Chiaki just smiled at him at closed her eyes. Shuta closed his eyes as well and both of them enjoyed the sound of the waves for awhile.

"I'm feeling kinda sleepy already." Chiaki said.

"Let's sleep here, I wouldn't mind it." Shuta chuckled. Chiaki giggled.

"I don't want to have colds on our trip going back home." She then sat up. "Come on now. Let's go." She invited.

"Haha, okay." Shuta agreed and sat up as well. They were still holding their hands together. Not minding the sand, Shuta raised their hands to his face and kissed the back of her hand. Chiaki smiled, blushing, as she watched him. The two of them then got up and went back to their suite.

Upon entering the room, Shuta reached his hand to the switch and turned the light on. "Looks like they're asleep already." He murmured.

"I guess you're right." Chiaki responded as she started walking towards her room, but Shuta stopped her by holding her hand. "Huh?" She turned her head to face him.
