Chapter 9

"Song Joongki?" Sunbae said as he went near us. I looked at oppa. He smiled and greeted him.

"Hey Geun Suk. It's been a while." Oppa said.

"Wait, what are you doing here?" Geunsuk asked.

"Well...I live here by this village. And I just took Miyeon back home." He said. He looked at me, smiled and placed his arm on my shoulder.

"I didn't know my bestfriend's working for you." He added. Geun Suk looked at me weirdly.

"Miyeon's your bestfriend?" He asked in a surprised voice. Oppa nodded.

"Yep. Guess you don't know her that much yet." Joongki said. Geun suk nodded.

"Yep. It's getting late. I guess you need to go home now." Sunbae said. Oppa nodded.

"Oh yeah. See you next time Miyeon-ah. Goodnight. You too Geunsuk." Oppa waved and walked out. I turned to look at sunbae and saw him with his arms crossed and stern look.

"Sorry if I didn't tell you I went out." I said.

"It's ok. And now it's time for our talk." He said as he dragged me inside. And now, the talk part.

I sat down the couch and he sat beside me.

"How did you know Joongki?" He asked. I sighed and told him everything there is to know.

I met oppa when I was 8 years old. At that time, I already fancied photography. Me and umma and appa was in a store because they'll be buying me my first ever camera.

And I saw the perfect one. I took it when someone held it to. And I saw it was a kid. And it was oppa. We fought over it. But then he gave it to me when I cried.

And then I met him again in the neighborhood and became friends.

When we were 15, he told me that he'll be leaving. I got sad and cried. But he gave me a remembrance. A pair of reading glasses when we went to the optical. He hugged me and told me..

'I'll see you again. Don't worry. I'll find you and we'll be together forever.'

I sighed looked up at sunbae and gave him a hopeful smile.

"That's about it. Corny story right?" I said.  He looked at me and just smiled.

"Well...it sounded good. And cute." He said. "But you should be careful. He's in the entertainment company. You shouldn't just linger around with him in public. It'll create issues. And he needs to protect his image." He said.

"We're not doing anything wrong. We're just friends.." I said.

"I know. I didn't say you were doing wrong. But some people might misunderstand things." Be said.

"Maybe..you're one of those people." I said as I was starting to get annoyed. "And is this what are we suppose to talk about?" I added.

"No I'm not. And this is kinda it. You work for me and don't go anywhere then you don't tell me. You're my responsibility. And then when I find you, it's already late and you hang out with some guy." He said.

"What?! Oppa is not just some guy. He's my bestfriend! And you don't hold my life." I yelled.

"I kinda do since you are working for me." He said. This jerk really!!

"Well this time, not anymore! I quit!" I shouted at him and walked to my room. He stood up.

"Miyeon! You can't do this. Don't be a closed-minded person!" He said.

"Look who's talking! You're the close-minded person! You don't even know me just like oppa said. And you don't even notice the good things I do. YOU'RE A BIG JERK!" I shouted at his face. I was about to open the door to my room, when he took my arm and turned me around. He stared at me for a couple of moment and he hugged me.

"I'm sorry. I knew you might be feeling that way. I didn't mean it. I know I'm a jerk. Please don't quit. Don't believe it...bit I need you..." He said. My eyes widened when he said that.

Was I dreaming?! What was he doing?! I backed up and we stopped hugging.

"Are you for real?" I asked.

"Halfly no because umma will be visiting tomorrow. And yes since I was really sincere." I sighed sarcastically.

"Whatever.." I said as I opened the door.

"So..are you still gonna quit?" He asked. I smirked and shook my head.

"Nope. Someone stopped me." I said. I went in and closed the door.

"Goodnight!" I yelled.

"You too." He said back. I jumped to my bed and started to drift in sleep.

At that morning, Mrs. Jang visited at the house and brought food. We ate lunch together and talked.

"How's your work doing, Miyeon-ah? Is Geunsuk Ok?" She asked. I smiled and nodded.

"It's been fine, Mrs. Jang. I'm having a good time too. And...yes. Geunsuk's been ok." I said as I glanced quickly at sunbae who was eating silently.

"Good to hear that. And are you treating Miyeon right?" She asked. I looked at Geun suk and his eyes widened a bit and smiled.

"Of course umma. And you're not asking how Miyeon's treating me?!" He asked.

"No need. I know you Geunsuk-ah." She said. I giggled a bit and finished our meal.

A couple of hours later, Mrs. Jang said goodbye and left.

"Umma loves you very much. Much as she loves me." Sunbae said. I chuckled.

"I know. Haha. I was kidding. I'm just doing my job." I said.

"Hey. Let's get some shoots for a while." He said.

"You don't have photoshoot schedules for today." I said.

"I know. Let's just get some pictures." He said. "Kaja." He said as he took my camera and we both left.

We spent our time in different places and took pictures. Well, mostly his solo shots with the sunset and anything that looks good. A couple of hours. Then we left.

"Well. That was good. I never knew you it's good spending time with you." He said while we are walking back home.

"You never knew." I said. "Well. It was really fun though. Thanks." I said. He smiled and nodded a bit.

"Thank you too. For spending time with me. I hope we can do this again. If I have time because of my schedules."

"Yep. I hope so too. If you're not being a jerk always." I mumbled.

"What did you say?" He asked.

"Nothing!" I joked.

"Geun suk? I missed you!" We both looked up and saw the girl we were not expecting. Ms. Yunseo hugged sunbae and kissed him on the cheek.

So much for spending time again.

"Y-yunseo? What are you doing here?" Sunbae stammered.

"For you, silly. I've decided that if you really like me. We should live in a different country and ditch everything. Just you and me." She said.

My mouth fell at that moment and my eyes widened.

He won't do that...

Will he?!
