When Things Come Back To Haunt You

Chapter 5

(A/N) OMG guys I'm so sorry for not updating!! I had a HUGE case of writers block for so long, then I was adding sentence by sentence. Plus I'm in the middle of writing a bunch of other stories, even though only one other is on here, so that's delayed it a little bit. And its a long chapter as well :) So, here it is!!

"hello to you too Maxi" he chuckled.

"oh right sorry, hey Seth. Soo?" I said.

"well, I have an announcement. Kids!" Seth called.

"yeah?" they all called running into the room.

"I came home early because starting tomorrow, I have at least two weeks off work. Why, you may ask? Because, we're going on a holiday"

"yay yay yay!" the kids all screamed. I just grinned.

"when do we leave? where are we going? For how long?" Kalyn started asking.

"slow down buddy" Carla said chuckling.

"we're leaving on Thursday, because we're going with Terry and Brandy, and the two kids that they have adopted who arrive on Wednesday, as well as you're mum's friend and her nephew. We're going to Queensland, to all the theme parks up there and we're going for just over a week. So go pack! We leave early Thursday morning, and I have these next few days at home with you kids anyway" Seth explained.

"yay! I have to show the adopted kids around when they get here, I can't wait" I said happily.

I ran upstairs, called Andy and told her everything. The first thing she asked was if Kade was hot. I just laughed and said I don't know. I got off the phone and packed my bags, before going to bed early.

Next thing I knew, it was Wednesday afternoon and I was at home. Chase had tried to talk to me all day yesterday and again today but I ignored him.

I ran next door to Terry and Brandy's and grabbed my key from my back pocket, placed it into the lock and turned it, letting myself inside. Yes, I had a key to their house. I went to the kitchen and read the note on the table.

'Maxi, thank you so much for doing this, you really didn't need to. We should be back around six, I hope that gives you enough time! Help yourself to the fridge and tv when you want to. See you soon :) -Brandy'.

I looked at the clock. It was only 3:30pm so I had about two and a half hours to do this. I was painting two of the three spare rooms for the kids. I love painting, I can't draw for my life but I can paint easily.

I made my way to the first bedroom which was Kade's and let myself in. The whole room was white, which meant I wouldn't have to do an undercoat thank god. I decided to go with black, but made sure it was a bit dark grayish so it didn't seem depressing.

They had made sure nothing was touching the walls, making it easier for me to paint. From what I'd heard about Kade, he seemed like the kind of guy who would liked game of thrones, so when I finished painting, I sat the big poster book on his double bed with some blue tack.

Because we were rich, I had bought a few things for them each. Brandy and Terry had gotten Kade a tv and DVD player, plus a computer, playstation and Xbox, so I had gotten him a few movies and the GTA collection.

I walked across the hall to Jasmine's room and took a quick look at the door. It had those purple block letter things on it, and they had spelt out 'Jazzy' with a love heart at each end. I pushed the door open and took a quick look around the room. It was also white.

All her stuff was in the middle of the room like it was in Kade's, so I quickly got to work. For some reason, I got the feeling that Jasmine didn't like pink very much so I'd gone with green. I'd add the finishing touch when it was dry.
