It was the early evening, and the radiant sun was peaking into the blinds. Nothing was planned for today, as Ashton was busy, and Luke had work in the morning. Since today was my lazy stay-in sort of day, Luke volunteered to go out and buy some dinner after work. In order to cope with my loneliness, I started watching whatever was on T.V. Fortunately, it was a show that I found bearable, so I let it keep me company for a bit.

I jumped as the door bell rang, and I tilted my head in confusion. I didn't expect anyone to come in today because I made no plans, but I reluctantly got up out of my comfortable position to open the door.

Before I could even ask who it was, a familiar dark haired boy bursted through the door and hopped onto the couch.

"Tell me about your date!" he squealed, and I stood in shock by the door.

"Well, hello to you too," I chuckled, and another voice I recognized spoke up.

"And me!" another boy, but this one with vibrant red hair, stepped into the house.

He held two plastic bags in his hands, both of them which held packages of chips. I felt guilty to accept them when he held the bags out to me, but I accepted them nevertheless. I love chips, after all.

Shutting the door with my foot, I walked into the living room to see both of the boys watching the show on the screen intently.

"So.. why are you both here?" I asked, placing the two bags onto the kitchen counter.

Of course, I already knew the answer to my mindless question, but I wanted to start a conversation.

"Isn't it obvious? We wanted to know how your date went!" Calum, the darker haired boy said again, eyes on the screen.

"Then why's Michael here?" I pointed toward the boy with brighter hair, and Michael smiled sweetly at me.

"Can't a friend be curious about another friend's date?" He replied with a sickly sweet tone, and I rolled my eyes.

"You got kicked out of your apartment again, haven't you," I deadpanned, and Michael chuckled.

"You know me so well, Haven. And yeah I sort of need a place to stay until I can get back on my feet," he claimed, but that triggered another eye roll from me.

"Honestly, Michael, no one ever knocks you off your feet, you just sit down and waltz over to my place to have free rent for a month," I responded, and Calum let a laugh escape through his lips.

Michael narrowed his eyes at me, pointing a finger at my face.

"You, enough with the attitude. I bought you chips, didn't I?"

I shrugged, agreeing with him before turning my eyes to the T.V. We watched in silence for a while, until a commercial flickered onto the screen.

Calum immediately took the remote and shut the T.V. off with a click, before turning to me quickly.

"Spill."

So I did. I told him about the picnic and the lights. I told him about the moonlight shining through the trees as Ashton and I talk the night away. I didn't leave out any details, about Ashton's inability to cook, or the wedges I regretted bringing. The details spilled from my mouth like a waterfall, almost like I was reliving it.

"Damn, that's a hard act to follow. I wish I was that detailed on dates," Calum mumbled, and Michael mindlessly nodded to his comment.

He had his phone out and he was frowning down to the screen. When Calum caught my eye, his eyes wandered to Michael as well.

"Moving problems?" I voiced, and Michael's head popped up from the screen.

"Wha- Oh, yeah, you could say so," he muttered, but I didn't believe him.

"What's wrong?" I said, with concern laced in my voice.

"You know, just boxes, and scheduling, the usual moving things."

Michael looks up at Calum and I, and as he sees the worry in my eyes he smiles a bit.

"Nothing's wrong, don't worry about me."

All of a sudden the front door handle moves, and the door opens. Luke comes in with two plastic bags with some Spanish written on it, which means he bought Mexican food today.

"I bought Mexican f-"

He stops when he sees Michael and Calum, and his sapphire eyes drift to the bags of chips on the kitchen counter. He sighs, before closing the door with a bang as he made his way to the counter.

"You know, you guys could've told me you were going to bring food."

Calum huffed, saying, "It was Michael's idea, don't bring this on me!"

Michael countered with "chips are hardly counted as actual food!"

"You can still get full with them, they're counted as food!" Luke retorted, walking to the arm chair adjacent from the one I was sitting on.

"So why're you guys here?" he questioned, plopping down on the old armchair.

"I'm moving in again," Michael spoke up, without looking back up from his phone.

Instead of frowning, he seems to be focused on a game of some sort. His thumbs move repetitively on the screen, and I saw he was playing Crossy Road.

Luke responded with a groan, giving me a tired look. He knows when Michael moves in he stays for a while, and he makes a mess. Clothes are strewn everywhere, and he practically depletes the food supply the moment we buy it.

"What about you, Calum? Have any worse news to lay on me?" the blond boy inquired, and Michael let out a small "hey!"

Calum chuckled at the exchange, responding with "just here to visit."

"Well, I'm tired, going to go to sleep. Help yourselves to the food."

Luke stood up, trudging his way to the stairs.

"Already?" Calum asked, glancing at the clock.

It was only 6 P.M., and Luke shrugged, continuing his walk to his room. Calum leans over to grab the remote, turning on the T.V. once again. I turn my attention to the T.V., focused on the new show that was playing.

Before Luke could reach the stairs though, he put one arm on the wall of the stairway and turned back to the living room.

"Haven."

I peer over to Luke, who had his eyes steadily on me.

"How was your date?"

"Good," I respond with a smile, and he nods.

"Good."

That was all he said before I heard his footsteps on the stairs at a steady pace.

When his footsteps disappeared, none of us spoke for fifteen seconds, either watching the television show or on our phones.

Calum suddenly clasps his hands together, lifting both Michael and I's attention to the boy with tan skin.

"Mexican food, anybody?"
