The night was short and in a blink of an eye it was already morning. The streets, that were once silent, became busy with excitement and new rumors to share.
Getting up from the spot where I slept, I headed out towards the assassins guild. Today was when I get my 200th mission. Yes, sounds a lot but it's actually not.
"Have you heard, the most powerful and feared assassin came back to town!" Whispered one of the girls that carried a handful of bags, definitely coming from a morning of shopping.
"I heard that they go by the name of 'Dragonfly'," whispered the other lady, also carrying bags.
"Dragonfly?" Giggled the first, covering her mouth with the bag in her arms, "what a weird name!"
"I know right!!" Also giggled the second, " but I also heard that it's a guy, and that he's just so handsome that words can't describe."
Ugh, those rumors are just so off.
I mean, yes the person goes by the name of Dragonfly and yes, they're the most powerful and feared assassin, but, they aren't a guy.
For sure.
Well the last time I checked, anyway.
Not wanting to hear anymore false 'information', I headed further into the city. People stood with stands (that were very close to each other ) that contained fruits, clothes, swords, accessories and so much more stuff that you couldn't possible name all of them.
After a few more minutes of walking, I could see the roofs of the assassin's guild. I walked a little more and stopped right in front of it.
Standing in the heart of the city, the building was huge with about 3 to 4 levels (if you count the attic a level) even if it didn't look like it. Stairs, that curled to the side, led to the entrance that was located on the second floor. The third floor, the one that is designed with crisscrossing lines, was the sleeping quarters, where the assassins or travelers could stay and spend their nights there. The circular window, and the square one right above were the windows that led into the attic.
Now you might be wondering what the first floor is for, the floor with the small windows lined along the very bottom. It's like a training center. It contains no walls, has many mats and  allows anyone to spar whenever and with who ever they want.
A soft breeze blew by, making my cloak swish behind me. I sighed and started walking again. Going up the curving stairs, I reached the two giant arching doors. Pushing both of them open, I set foot inside the building.
Dead silence followed.
The place was twice as packed as the bar I was at the previous night, and every single pair of eyes was focused on me.
Pushing my shoulders down and back, I raised my chin and walked through the whole guild until I reached the bar.
So, just to make sure that you know how this place looks like from the inside, I'll tell you right now. Right away, when you open the door, there are hundreds of tables set up everywhere, round, square, rectangular, etc. One thing, though, is that there is always a straight path that leads from the doors to the bar. If your facing the bar, on the left side you'll see a set of stairs going to the 3rd floor, while if you look to the right side you'll see a pair of stairs leading down to the 1st floor. The roof is really high because of the fact that the 3rd floor has a balcony that is on top of the bar, with a railing looking over the tables, but it's not round, it's just a strait line.
So as I came up to the bar, I turned at the last second, right before I reached the stools.
"I'M BACK!!!" I exclaimed, "AND THE DRINKS ARE ON ME!!" I raised the bag of coins ( that were not mine, of course ).
The dead silence turned into a roar of cheers. People came up to me and congratulated me for coming back from my assignment. The ones I get are usually involving killing beasts, magicians, and other stuff that people want for me to kill.
After a few drinks, I headed to the 3rd floor. The bartender gave me a key to the attic where my room is usually located.
The hall on the 3rd floor is really wide, with doors on each side facing each other. At the end of the hall, there is a left turn which leads to the door that had the attic stairs behind them.
Slowly opening the door, to savor in the feeling of being back home, I went up the stairs and into the room
The room was just how I left it.

The bed was facing horizontal from me, a dream catcher above it, a desk stood on the right side of it (the side that is closer to you as you come up the stairs), and a small lamp on a small drawer stood in the opposite corner

The bed was facing horizontal from me, a dream catcher above it, a desk stood on the right side of it (the side that is closer to you as you come up the stairs), and a small lamp on a small drawer stood in the opposite corner. Vines creeped out of the corner where the lamp stood and reached to/across the rectangular window. On the corner across from the lamp, a light velvet colored curtain hung along the triangular roof, which you could unhook when you wanted to cover the window. A tiny bookshelf stood in the corner with the curtain and a plant hung right on top of the window.
A human-length mirror stood a little to the side as you came up the stairs, with a huge closet next to it.
Holding onto the railing that was there to separate the room from the stairs, I observed the little, yet cozy, place.
Home, sweet home, I thought as I came up. I unhooked my cloak and threw it onto the bed, stepping to the mirror to glance at my self.
Big, bushy and unkept eyebrows followed by round, dark burgundy eyes, and dirty blond hair that looked almost gold (not the yellow kind of gold, but the kind that even looks a little orange in the sunlight) that went a little past the shoulder blades.
A turned up nose and middle-kind-of-full lips. Everything could be said that I was a girl and a beauty.
Except for some things.
I had a kind of square-ish jaw line, and you could see muscles if I flexed. Also a very fit body, you could say more fit than a usual girl would like.
Sigh, I guess you can't have everything at the same time, but I must say, I placed my chin in between my thumb and pointer finger, grinning at my self, I look good!
When I was done checking myself out, I turned to the closet.
"Now, let's see..." I opened both doors.
"What should I ware?"
"Ah, yes! This will do!" I took out a plain, tan T-shirt.
It had no sleeves (good for showing off my tiger tattoo), had a slight turtle neck, and went from short in the front, to long in the back.
After picking out my top, I settled in for a pair of slightly loose pants, loose enough that if you strapped on a place to keep your daggers to your leg, it wouldn't look weird, and boots that came up to my ankles.
I felt as if something was missing, so I took a belt from one of the drawers inside the closet, and strapped it on so that it looked a little like a cowboy's.
"Your assignment's here." Said the bartender through the pipes that we used for communication .
Right on time, I thought as I checked the clock on my desk. Grabbing a rubber band, I tied my hair into a ponytail, exposing my multi-pierced ears. Left ear had 3 piercings running in a strait line at the bottom and 3 piercings running in a line at the very top, followed by a metal "stick" running through the ear itself. The right ear however, had only 2 at the bottom and 1 at the top.
    I headed down stairs.
Coming down the stairs that led to the 2nd floor, I looked over to the bar.
The bartender was cleaning cups, which was odd, considering that he always tended to talk to the person hiring me about the cost and the payment.
"Hey, what's up?" I asked with a shrug.
He looked over to the corner of the building.
Well, well, well, so it was blonde after all.
I grinned.
He was leaned against the wall, with his arms crossed across his chest, trying his best not to attract the attention of the ladies.
I walked over.
His eyes met mines, and a look of question, surprise, and playfulness played all over his face.
Walking over to him, he stood taller.
I waved.
"Hello, it seems like I was the one that you hired." I stated.
Now only a questioning look remained on his face.
My grin grew.
"Oh yes, it looks like I haven't introduced myself, have I?" I gave him my hand to shake and he took it.
"The name's Krimson,"
Now I was smiling.
"but you can call me Dragonfly."
