I tugged at the horse's stirrups, making sure they were long enough.
I grabbed the rolled up stuff and secured it onto the back of the saddle.
Cassy, next to me, did the same with his horse.
I changed my shirt into a new one.
"Would this be all?" I asked Butler, lets just call him that, as I dusted my hands. The bartender, aka the Butler, looked at our stuff and then at us.
"Yes, but I feel like you're forgetting something," he said. When he saw that I looked puzzled, he cleared his throat and pointed over his shoulder.
I looked past him and saw what he was referring to.
"Hahaha....." I laughed awkwardly,"don't worry, I think I'll have some money after I finish this guy's job."
Thank goodness that my attic somehow wasn't destroyed. All my treasures are safe.
I was internally crying with happiness.
Collecting my composure, I turned to Cassy.
"You know, you actually never told me how much I'll be paid for doing your job." I stated.
No really, if it's not a decent amount, then I'm not doing it, i thought to myself.
"It all depends on how you do it," he said back while fiddling with something.
"And anyways, you do have some of the payment," he turned around to me, "don't you?"
"What ever are you saying?" I acted innocently, "accusing me of such a thing as stealing, hmp!" I crossed my arms and turned my nose upward.
"I never actually said that you stole something," he grinned at me.
"Ya, and there's a thing called sarcasm,"I stared at him.
"And why would you do that?" He was the one acting innocent now.
"Because you already knew, didn't you?"
"Well, you could say that, but I only realized it when I was thinking of checking if I had enough to pay you."
I sighed.
I turned back to Butler and grabbed his shoulders, looking at him strait in the eyes,
"I'm truly sorry, but...." I started and then became quiet.
I made sad, watery eyes at him.
"Sorry.....but not sorry." I quickly spun around and dashed towards my horse. I jumped onto its back and kicked its sides. The horse reared on its hind legs.
Looking at the Butlers dumb-founded expression, I burst out laughing and said,
"Don't worry, I'll pay you back!" And steered away, towards the blue and green horizon.
Cassy caught up with me and we were off towards our adventures.
The Butler stood there, dazed but not shocked. He knew that I always did that when I didn't want to take care of things. He was just dazed because I did it differently every time so it was hard to predict when I was about to do it.
He sighed.
"Well, looks like I'll just have to fix it, and deal with those robbers of ours," and he turned around and went on to take care of things.

*Few hours earlier*
A bang sounded through out the whole building.
"Looks like your friends are here already!" I exclaimed to our little group of bandits.
"You won't get away with this!" Red yelled.
"If I had a penny for every time someone said that to me, I would be rich,"I said, and mumbled, "as if I'm not already," as I moved towards the door from where I was on the stairs.
"And plus," I stopped and glared over my shoulder, "you're making it sound as if I'm the bad guy."
Another boom sounded and the sounds of people yelling were heard.
"Oh my," I said, "it looks like your friends are being a little impatient, but it can't be helped, "  I took out a machete out of thin air behind my back and then did the same with the other hand, "it is a lot of fun."
"Say, who's going to cheer for me?!?!" I exclaimed. A loud roar arose from the people around me. I continued to walk towards the door and rammed it open with my foot.
The trees and the grass around our guild were on fire. Smoke filled the air, making it seem as if it was already night.
I walked down the stairs and right towards the blazing flames. When I stopped right in front, I took my machete and swung right through, extinguishing the fires in one solid motion.
The screams soon died down and turned into murmurs. I looked around.
"Who started all this!?" I asked in a loud voice so that everyone could hear me. Out of the smoke came a man.
He was dressed in a gray shirt that was ripped at the bottom and a jean vest that had a big scull and bones on the back. His hair was spiked up and he carried a metal bat over his shoulder. His pants were ripped and he had low hiking boots on.
As he and his band passed by, terrified mothers gripped their children tighter and fathers tried their best not to look scared.
The guy smiled crookedly.
"The name's Richard," he said slowly, looking at me.
"A pretty decent name, I'd say." I glared.
"So," I continued, "are you here for what I think you're here for?"
"That's right," he pointed his bat at me, "I'm here for something that you have!"
"And that is?" I grinned, already knowing what it was.
"Your necklace."
A moment passed.
Wait, what? I thought, did I hear him right?
"I was sure that he came for the robbers, weren't they in his gang?" I whispered to myself.
"What did you say? Speak up, I can't hear you!" Richard yelled.
"But then if he came for something else....." I drifted off into thoughts.
"Hey you!! Do you even hear me!!" He continued to yell insults at me and other remarks.
I became agitated.
"DO YOU NOT SEE ME THINKING, YOU STUPID PIECE OF SH-" before I finished, I remembered something and stopped.
"Oh, why did you stop?" He asked, "did you remember something?"
I groaned and dragged my palm down my face.
"Why?" I asked miserably. "Why of all people, does it have to be you?"
He was the guy that was after my necklace for the past 3 months, always attacking me when I finally got time to relax. He always gets beat up, and yet he stands back up and challenges me again.
"That's right! It's me, only this time, I'm stronger than ever."
"What makes you think that you can still beat me?" I asked and crossed my arms, leaning on one foot.
"Cause I brought friends." He grinned
Slowly lifting the bat, he pointed at me and said,
   "Get her."
His 'friends' laughed as if it'll be a piece of cake, but they were wrong.
As they rushed towards me, I stood my ground.
At the last second I tipped forward and sprinted, sliding under a guy and tripping him with my hand. Rising up onto my feet, I grabbed another one's sword and hit him with the peen block right in the temple. I spun and slashed another person right at the stomach.
Running straight into the center of the fight, I threw spikes, hitting some in the eyes, chests, arms and legs.
Continuing forward towards Richard, a buff guy (who looked a lot like a mountain) jumped right in front of me.
I didn't stop. Instead, I slammed right into him, making him fly backwards. The guy slammed into Richard, trapping him under.
I slowly came up to him.
Putting one foot on top, I leaned down and looked him in the eyes.
"You were saying?" I asked with amusement, grinning from ear to ear.
"Well, the show isn't over yet." He said.
Right at that moment, a huge explosion happened, exploding half of the guild.
I turned around and sighed.
There stood a guy (who was surprisingly taller) holding Cassy with his hands behind, with a knife pressed against his throat.
"So what are you going to do, bribe me?" I said as I stood up, my hands flying in a questioning and 'I give up' manner.
"Yes, that's exactly what I'll do." Groaned Richard as he pushed the guy on top off. He dusted himself off and picked up his bat from the floor.
"Now then, let's see. Oh yes! Your necklace..." he outstretched his palm to me," for him." He pointed his batt at Cassy.
I growled and reached for my neck. I grabbed hold of a chain and pulled it.
On the end was a blood colored jem that was wrapped with metal vines that held it onto the chain.
It glowed with a pattern of a beating heart. The site of it made Richard grin.
As I was reaching for his outstretched hand, time seemed to slow down.
I made eye contact with Cassy.
You are thinking of what I'm thinking, aren't you? I thought.
Yes, and I see you are thinking of that as well, his voice boomed in my head, his golden eyes not leaving mine, not even blinking.
I see, I closed my eyes and chuckled, then wait for my signal, I turned my attention back to the guy in front of me.
Time turned back to normal as I placed my necklace onto his palm. He grabbed it with greed but then looked at me in surprise.
I didn't let go of the necklace as he thought I would, but instead looked him dead straight in the eyes.
"Looks like you aren't as smart as you thought." With that I twisted in a tight circle and hit him with the back of my foot strait in the temple.
Cassy, taking that as a signal, head butted the guy that was holding him below his chin. The guy stumbled back and he took the opportunity to take a huge swing and nock him out.
Looking over, I saw Cassy calmly dusting his hands.
I turned back towards Richard, who was laying on the ground, groaning in pain with the mild concussion that I gave him with the kick.
Looks like I didn't hit with enough power, I frowned but then shrugged.
I put my necklace back around my neck and stepped over Richard, going towards Cassy. I swung my arm around him, pulling him down towards my level. He looked a little surprised and annoyed, but when I asked for a fist bump, he rolled his eyes and gave me one.
"We make a great team," I grinned and gave him a thumbs up, followed by a ruffle of the hair.
The Butler waved us over and we headed back to the half broken inn.
I wonder what other kinds of adventures we'll have, I thought as Cassy shrugged me off and fixed his hair. I put my hands behind my neck and looked up at the blue sapphire sky that was filled with cotton candies.
And smiled.

Have a great day!
Note: the picture is supposed to be the necklace but instead of the vines being on the sides, they're supposed to wrap around the sides and top so that it looks like the vines are holding the stone in place, preventing it from falling out.
