Y/n POV
Eric and Wilbur kept talking.
I didn't get a chance to speak to or anything. Oh well. He might be in some of my classes! Might as well try to talk to him.
I turned around to Wilbur and smiled.
" Hey..." I said slowly. His attention snapped to me. He returned the smile.
" Hey! What's your name?" He asked kindly.
" y/n. How do you like (enter school name)?" I said, trying to make conversation. He's quite cute.
" Well, considering I've only been here for an hour," Wilbur answered while smiling. Everyone laugh at his joke, my cheeks redden, " it's pretty nice!"
" Oh. Cool. Nice to know, anyways, what classes are you doing?" I quickly said. Oh god, that sounded creepy.
He brushed it off like it was nothing. " Today?" I nodded, " Um, I think I have math, social studies, drama, science and art!"
" Ok! Cool." I answered, then turning back to Ally.
She gave me a thumbs up, indicating that The conversation went well. I smiled back at her.
-------- TIME SKIP TO NEXT CLASS ------------
History.
Is.
So boring.
As Mr. Bins (Author's note: HARRY POTTER REFERENCE) droned on and on about the civil war and WWII and the Cold War, I stared off into space and absentmindedly doodled on my notebook.
I heard snickering.
I casually turned my head around, only to see Zach and Brianna laughing at something or probably someone. I caught Bri's eye and raised an eyebrow. She stuck her tongue out at me. Whatever. I spun around and paid attention to Mr. Bins.
" - And concluding our class today, we shall discuss our next project." Wait, who assigns projects on the first day back? Apparently this psycho.
" You will need to choose a time period and location, then research about daily life there. I will expect a 2 paged essay from all of you."
Groans could be heard all around the room, but no one groaned louder than Bri. She hated work. Actually, more accurately, she hated SCHOOL work.
Finally, the bell rang.
Everyone quickly packed up their belongings and shuffled out of the room.
Except for Mila, the class nerd. No offence, but she scares me. I mean I'm an honour roll student, but Mila should be getting the honour, honour roll if you know what I mean.Mila stayed behind to ask Mr. Bins about who knows what. Most likely the homework after this project. Or how to get extra credit.
As I left the room, I noticed a large crowd forming near my locker. I pushed through the crowd to see what was causing the commotion. When i reached my locker, all I could see was roses. What the?
Someone spotted me and pushed me to the front, everyone else noticed me and parted like the Red Sea. I slowly walked towards the roses taped onto my locker, with each step I wanted the earth to swallow me.
I reached my locker.
I collected all the roses, holding them with my left hand. I spun my combination code, the crowd waited with anticipation. I opened my locker, and a few more roses flew out. Then I noticed a single letter on my (locker) shelf.
I opened it and read it aloud to the crowd.I'll love you for a lifetime,
Not for a day.
I love you for who you are,
Not what you do or say.The crowd laughed at how cheesy the poem was, and to be honest, so did I. Love? Oh please.
But there was still something about this that bothered me. Who would write this?
