Running the Life of a Nerd

Chapter 20

May's POV
I feel so good! I felt like not a nerd. I wish it will be this good every time.

"May." Sam called.

"Yeah?" I asked him.

He knelt down and my heart beat is rapidly speeding up. I felt all eyes are on us. He brought out a bouquet of flowers. "Can you be my date at the Junior Prom?"

"Yes!" I answered, then he stood up and hugged me.

I heard some whispers in the crowd.

After that, we walked through the cafeteria. And guess who came to me. Blair.

"What do you want now?" I asked fiercely.

"I want to apologized for what I've done." She said sincerely.

I took a step closer to her and hugged her, "I forgive you." I replied, "But don't ever bully someone, ok?"

"I promised." She replied then released the hug and walked to her friends.

"Wow." Sam said, "She already apologized."

"Come on. Lets eat." Stella whined and we proceeded to the cafeteria.

After 30 minutes, we finished eating and headed to the gym for an announcement.

"Hello, Juniors!" The principal greeted, "I like to announced that the Prom or Masquerade Ball is going to be held at Sunflower Hotel. All of you have a room there. You will have a room mate of your choice. The maximum amount of room mates is three. And by the way, if you have a date on the Ball, the hardest part is to find your partner." She announced. "So, that's all and have a good day!" She added and went down the stage.

We walked out of the gym and headed to class.

Time really fly fast it is already dismissal , we went out of school and Stella ran into me.

"Sorry, May." She said, "But we really need to go."

"Why?" I asked confusely.

"We need to buy accessories for the Masquerade Ball." She answered.

"Ok." I agreed, "Lets go."

"See you on Saturday. Bye, Sam." I said to Sam.

"Bye, May." He replied back.

"So, where are we going?" I asked.

"In the Brookfield Mall." She answered.

"Do you have a friend there?" I asked.

"Yeah. Her name is Elizabeth, Elizabeth Dixon." 

"Ok."
