Chapter 1

"Kiara get your skinny ass down here! You don't want to be late for school!" my mom yelled from downstairs.

I groaned and rolled over on my bed to look at my clock. It shone 7:39. Crap!

I rolled off the bed and pulled on some skinny jeans and a white T-shirt. I skipped putting on makeup because that was a waste of time.

I bolted downstairs to find a woman with long dark brown hair and beautiful blue eyes, my mom, munching happily on an orange slice. Beside her was an exact replica of her in boy form, my brother, Sean.

"Morning sleeping beauty. Ready for your first day?" she asked.

"It's not really my first day..." it was my first day at a new school. We went from Florida to Kansas City, Missouri. Not that I was complaining. I loved it here already. Why did we move you ask? Well... my mom and my dad weren't really working out and my dad... didn't like me we'll say... so my mom got a job here and we moved out. My brother however, had moved the year before to get away from my dad.

"Oh whatever. Come on! Don't want to be late" Sean said throwing me an apple. We all sprinted to the old minivan, sat down and started the car. By the time we got to school it was 7:48.

"Bye mom! love you have a nice day" I called jumping out of the car.

"Bye dear. I'll see you at 6! Bye Sean " she called pulling away. Sean was long gone. He had seen his friends so there you go. I see where his loyalties lie. I turned and looked at the small building. It looked quite modern and had "Greenview academy, home of the stallions" in big, black letters at the top. I walked to the front and people started to look at me.

Oh no , I thought, Are they staring at me? Damn this is gonna suck.

I hated being the new kid. It was obvious that everyone wanted to either make you theirs, or disown you immediately. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts and pushed the doors open to try to find the office.

The inside of the school was hectic. It was smaller then my old school, only a few hundred kids, but still in the mornings, it doesn't matter if theirs 5 kids or 3,000. It would be crowded.

I was pushed and shoved on my way trying to stumble my way anywhere when suddenly I ran smack into a large person.

"Watch it!" he growled. He had brown hair and brown eyes and a chest that could be mistaken as a table if laid horizontally. Daaaaaaaaaaamn.

I shook my head and apologized. I turned to shove back through but he caught my arm.

"Wait! Sorry I thought you were a freshman. Your the new girl right?" He said letting go of my arm and flashing me a smile.

"Y-yeah" I murmured, shuffling my feet.

"I'll help you. You look lost. Where you going?" he asked.

"The office" I sighed in relief.

"Great! let's go new girl!" he said pushing me a little forward.

"It's Kiara" I said.

"Ok Kiara. It's this way" he said pushing me gently in the opposite direction that I was going. Oops.

********************************

By the time we reached the office I had learned lots of stuff about the beautiful boy who helped me.

His name was Eric Kay , he played football, he was from Colorado and he moved when he was 7, and he had 3 siblings- two younger sisters and an older brother.
