Chapter 3

The next few days I visited the wolf everyday after school. He was the nicest animal I had ever met. He was just a huge puppy.

Today was Friday and it was 3:20. The bell had just rang and I was packing up my stuff quickly so I could go see him.

"Your in a rush today. Got plans with someone?" A low voice chuckled behind me. I yelped in surprise and turned to see Liam smirking at me.

"Yes actually" I huffed. He chuckled and raised an eyebrow.

"Oh really? And who might this person be?" he said.

"Nobody" if only he knew how true that was. The wolf wasn't a person but an animal.

"Come on. Tell me" he pushed, gripping my hips lightly. Warmth runs through where his hands are and I shiver slightly. Sparks fly distractingly so I say the first lie that comes to mind.

"My boyfriend"

He immediately released me and steps back a step.

"What?!" he screams. His eyes went from his beautiful blue to a darker shade, almost black. They held so much anger I cowered in fear.

"You can't have a boyfriend. YOU! ARE! MINE!" he screamed pinning me against the lockers. I raised my hands slightly to cover my face and backed away. He noticed this and the floor shook. I gasped in shock and fell on my butt. The shaking stopped but was replaced with loud footsteps.

"Back up man! Your scaring her! Liam! Liam! ALP-" Eric screamed shaking his shoulders. He was cut off by Liam's hand clutching his throat. I screamed and ran to hell him but when I got there Liam pushed me to the floor and held me down with his foot lightly.

"Is it you?" He growled. Eric's eyes went wide with surprise and Liam's hold got tighter, choking him. I screamed and beat at his leg.

"Wh-what did you tell him" Eric asked me I'm between gasps, turning a sick shade of purple.

"I lied about going to see my boyfriend so he would leave me alone. Stop it Liam! Your gonna kill him!" I screamed punching at whatever I could find. I got him I'm the... Manhood? and he winced, grunting slightly.

Eric's eyes went wide and he looked the boy in the eye. It looked like they were having a silent conversation. Finally, after what seems like forever, Liam let Eric and I go. He dropped Eric and I immediately scrambled over to him.

"Eric? Eric are you ok?" I whispered as he gasped for air. He coughed and I helped him sit up.

"I'm fine Kiara chill out" he chuckled. Once I saw he was ok I stood up and pounded my way over to Liam. His head snapped up and in his eyes were so many emotions. Guilt, hurt, and affection were the biggest of them. Seeing him this vulnerable almost killed my motivation for what I was going to do. Almost.

I snapped my hand across his face so hard his head snapped in the other direction and the noise was heard echoing in the empty halls. We stood like that for several minutes before I stomped out.

"Wolfie! Hey wolfie!" I screamed. I had walked around for about 30 minutes now. The wolf usually found me in the first 5 minutes I was walking so I was getting nervous.

I sighed and sat down, resting my back against the tree. A ladybug trudged towards me and I smiled. I put my hand down in front of it and it stopped and turned around. I sighed and started to tear up.

"You too huh?" I asked my voice shaking. I pulled my knees up to my chest and put my face in my hands. I just sat there and sobbed for what felt like hours. When I finally was thinking of giving up and going home a snap was heard behind me.

I gasped and smiled in the direction of the sound. But my smile faded when I realized it wasn't my wolf buddy, but another wolf. I gasped and stepped back. The wolf growled menacingly at me and I whimpered, cringing back. He stalked towards me and my back hit the tree.

I looked around in search for something to use as a weapon but found nothing. The wolf lunged at me and I dodged to the side. He growled again and I shuddered. The night had gone eerily quiet and I could hear every rumble coming from this wolfs chest.

"Wanna price of me dog breath? Come and get me" I said and got down low and ready to run. The wolf growled and pounced in my direction. I dodged and rolled on the ground. I got up and gasped, he was right over me. He shoved down my shoulders and pinned me to the forest floor but I wasn't having it.

I yelled frustrated and tried to punch at it. It's brown fur got caught in my hands and I pulled, hard. He yelped and stood up slightly just enough to let me get out. I scrambled up before he realized his mistake and climbed the branches of the tree quickly.

The wolf barked unhappily but I could care less. I climbed and climbed until the wolf was as big as a normal human. I then just sat and planned to sit it out until he got bored and left.

But he didn't. He didn't leave. He sat there and waited for me to come down growling at me. I felt my pockets for my phone but of ocurse I left it at the house. I groaned and sat back in the tree. I started to lose consciousness. The lat thing I heard was howling in the distance.
