"Come," says the lady, gesturing towards the wall facing the back made entirely out of mirror.

I am still every confused. So far, all I know is :

I am not in a Section. (Which, by the way, makes no sense)

I am in some place named The Detachment

I am in the middle of the woods where, so far, no one has found this person.

I follow her to where she is taking me and ask "What's your name?"

She ignores me. But why would she trust me? I am just a girl with leaves in her hair that came into a random house! I don't think I would trust me.

She opens up the mirrors/doors with the granite handles and right away, I see only simply a desk with a chair. On top of the desk is a thin like screen with wires sticking out of the wedge that holds it up.

"What is that?" I say, pointing like a curious child.

She laughs a little and another smile appears on her wrinkly face.

"That? It's a computer! You've never seen one?"

"Uh, no..."

"Which section are you from?"

"Section Two."

"Ahh. That's why. They have these things everywhere in Three."

"Not that I know of. When is the last time you've visited a section?"

"Maybe thirty years."

That isn't even that long ago. How come my adoptive parents never talked about these computers? I made no comment.

"Well, since I showed you the place, would you like to get cleaned up? There's a bathroom with a shower over there. She pointed in a general left direction. Before I left, I looked behind me at the mirror. It wasn't a mirror right now, at least. I could see perfectly strait into the other room.

After a wile of struggling, I found the woman again. She told me how to work a shower. When I came out, I saw black flowey pants and a red and black tee shirt along with a fleece black sweater laid on the brown cabinet next to the sink. Assuming the clothes where for me, I put them on careful not to rip the fabric and dried my hair. and walked out of the room into the kitchen to see where I could get a brush, and saw the woman with two other people: a tall boy with jet black hair and brown eyes. He has on a small grey backpack. Also, there is a girl with frizzy blond hair with a small face and freckles.

They both immediately stair at me.

"Umm... Hi?"I said shyly.

The boy sat up from his obviously comfortable seat, pushed it in, and started speaking.

"I see you have met Julianne, but you can't stay here so uh, you'll have to stay in our house. It's about a mile back. I know it's late... Sorry."

So that's her name.

"Sure, I'll go get my stuff." I said, quickly realizing that I don't have anything,so I went through the bathroom drawers to find a brush, which was pretty hard considering that it is a very fancy big bathroom, with a lot of places to look. I finally found one along with about 5 other ones in a big glass pot displayed probably mostly for decoration.

When I came out, Julianne handed me a long wool coat along with a white hat and gloves. (She must really like to give me clothes)

"Do I really need all of this?"

"Yes! It's very windy out at night. Also, berry dark, pitch black," she said handing me a flashlight.

When I didn't believe them when they all said that it was going to be windy out, they were right. Actually, they should have explained further on because it wasn't just windy; it was little-pins-piercing-into-your-skin-wile-the-rest-of-your body-tries-to-rip-away-in-the-other-direction, taking-your-numb-ears-and-lips-with-it windy. My hat flew off about a half an hour later, exposing the rest of my cold head.

A long wile later, we quickly got inside the cabin. It was extremely cold even inside, so the dark haired boy went into the small living room to light a fire. After a wile of scilence, the girl talked.

"When was the last time you ate? You must be hungry!"

I thought about it. I haven't eaten since this morning, at my house. My house is probably miles and miles away from this place.

"Yeah, I guess," I said shyly

"Let me get you something!"

"Thank you." I said it quietly.

She got me a bowl of stew that was stored outside, warmed it up, and brought it to me with a spoon.

"Oh!" She said

"We forgot to introduce ourselves! I am Sage, and this is Arren." She pointed to Arren and he looked down wile waving.

Most people come to Julianne's house because it's closest when they run away from home, or whatever," Arren said.

"It's pretty obvious that he was born here, right?" She laughed.

"Yeah... What section are you from, Sage?"

"Section One!"

I asked for seconds on the stew and responded when she got back.

"That must have taken you a long time to get to this place."

"Yeah, a day and a half. I just kept on walking. I thought I was going to have to live in the woods on my own for the rest of my life."

"And it's obvious that Sage likes to talk about her escape story," Arren said almost under his breath, but still I laughed.

"Hey!"

"It's pretty late. Do you want to go to sleep?" Arren asked

"I usually go to sleep about this time too."

"Sure," I said

I went to sleep a little later again, thinking about Scarlet. Wile I'm safe right in the middle of the woods with friendly people, who knows where she is?
