Richard's POV~

"So, are you sure you got that Sara?" I asked, talking to her on the phone.

"Yes, I hear you loud and clear," she answered.

"Good. Now get to work," I ordered her, before hanging up. Setting the phone back down, I turned around in my chair. "Yes?"

"How did you know I was here?" Steve asked, surprised I even heard him coming in. "I was so sure I got you this time."

"You know you could never sneak up on me." I smirked. One of my special skills in life.

"A guy can try right?" he asked, shrugging his shoulders.

"You could," I said. "Now, what do you want?" I asked, leaning back in my chair, folding my hands across my chest.

"I just wanted to tell you that your mother is here to see you."

"Mother?" I asked. "She's here?" I asked, leaning my body towards Steve, thinking I heard wrong.

"Yup, right outside the office." He pointed behind his shoulder. "She said she wanted to talk to you."

"Now?" I asked confused. There's something strange going on here. Mother would never ever come to the company unless it's something very important. She's always too busy to anyways, so why would she be here at eleven o'clock in the morning?

"Yes now."

"But why?" I inquired.

"I don't know, but Mrs. Price wants to see you now, and you know how your mother doesn't like waiting."

Sighing, I got up from my chair, and started towards her. Leaving my office, I headed down the hall where most of my employees worked at, towards the waiting room.

Once there, I saw my mother leaning against the wall. My mother's a middle age women,at the age of forty. Her eyes were like mine, a striking blue with specks of gold around the iris. Her long curly brown hair was tied up in a professional hair style. Her skin flawless, silky white. She was dressed in a business suit like always, and her lips formed in a thin line.

"Mother?" I asked, getting her attention.

Looking up, she headed towards me.

"We need to talk."

Iris' POV~

"Iris... sweetheart, you need to wake up," Sara said, shaking me awake.

Blinking my eyes twice, trying to focus, I sat up. Yawning quietly, I stretched my arms, trying to wake up.

"Dr. Brown is here to see you."

Turning my head slightly to the left, I looked at her confused. Why would Dr. Brown be here?

Seeing my confused face, she answered me. "Don't worry, he's just here to check up on your foot, just to be sure it healed perfectly."

Nodding, I told her I understood.

Turning around, Sara headed towards Richard's door, opening it up to reveal Dr. Brown standing in the doorway.

Upon seeing me lying in bed, Dr. Brown gave me one of his smiles, most likely telling me sorry that I had to have a week worth of bed rest. But it's not like it's his fault - it's my own stupid fault for twisting my ankle.

"Well Iris, we just need to do some x-rays on your ankle just to make sure it healed up nicely," Dr. Brown told me. "Would that be alright with you?" he asked.
