As soon as I got the text, I knew something was wrong. It was from Angelina, and she doesn't even know my number. Sari and I entered the shop and Angelina immediately started talking, "Took you long enough! I see you brought your girlfriend with you.". "Oh were not-", Sari and I both tried to explain. "I don't care. Anyways, I don't know about Grace anymore, she might not be able to hold up the curse. She's having hot spells and experiencing nausea, passing out every week or so in the last month." She'd never told me this... "She's been hiding it from you and your parents, so you wouldn't worry.", Angelina explained to me. "But I thought she was chosen," Sari said, "And if she was chosen, she'd be able to handle it.". "Well, I only know from my time in her position and I neglected the responsibility for a while, but she's taking it all in at once, at a younger age than me.". "But I don't understand, it's been at least a year and she's just now being affected by it?", I said. Angelina tried to explain, "It could of had delayed affects. I think it's something with the town. I used to feel a little sick when I knew something was about to go wrong. You need to go to her now and ask her if something bad is going to happen. Don't tell her why, not yet, just say that there's always something to fix. She'll agree with that, and may confess to the possible threat." "Should we ask Amanda and Leo to help?", asked Sari. "Yes, I think that might do some good. When I assigned them to all their tasks, not only was I helping out the town, I was training them for the adventures to come. Maybe they'll know something that could help. Now hurry on, you love birds."
Sari and I rushed to our bikes outside after a quick goodbye and thanks to Angelina. I couldn't help but marvel at the kindness Sari offered, ditching try outs to help me. She was so pretty, I wanted to ask her if she would go out with me, but I was too shy, and I know now isn't the time. I thought all of this as we biked to Amanda's house. We went inside and explained everything, stumbling over our words trying to hurry it up. She understood, and got on her bike to ride with us to Leo's. All it took for him was Amanda ringing the door and telling him that we had to help Grace. "Well, of course he rushes for her," I said. "I think it's sweet,", Sari said giggling just a little. Gosh that laugh was cute. After Leo got on his bike we hastily rode to my house. I jumped off and left my bike on the ground when we got there. "What's the big rush anyways?", Leo asked. "You'll see.", I said opening the front door with my key. We ran upstairs to find Grace passed out on the floor. Sari bent down and felt her temperature, "Go get a cold wet washcloth and dab it on her face, it's burning up.", she ordered Amanda. Leo and I propped her up, her head and back against the edge of the bed. "So what exactly is going on?", Leo asked, looking worried. Sari and I explained about how Grace wasn't handling the curse very well, physically, as Amanda tried to cool her down. "So any ideas?", I asked. Sari was about to answer, but Amanda interrupted, "Hey, guys, she's waking up." She quickly hid the washcloth and put a book in Grace's hands as her eyes fluttered open, "What are you guys doing here?" Grace asked, clearly confused. "Oh, we just wanted to know if we could help out with anything around town?", Sari improvised. "Yea and we found you asleep with that book in your arms. You must of fallen asleep.", I said making it up as went along. "So need anything? Time traveling? Any musicals we can put on?", Leo asked smiling. Grace hesitated, "Well, umm, there was one thing, now that you mention it...", she got up and went to one of her filing cabinets, that's Grace for you, always organized. She pulled out a map of Willow Falls and circled 3/4 of it. "This is the town after she comes. 'She' being, Serena Wilswoop Mise. She's on her way here. I should of told you sooner, it might be too late now." , Grace explained in a hurry. "What do you mean after she comes? It she going to like buy up part of town?", I asked anxiously. Grace shook her head, "Not going to, she already has. She's as old as Angelina, maybe even a little older. You know the woman who's son was sick in the story she told us about being chosen?", Grace asked. "You mean David's ancestor?", said Leo, finding all this as hard to comprehend as the rest of us. Grace answered quickly, "Yes, her, she's owned a big part of Willow Falls since it was established. She thinks that Angelina's still here, with the curse, and she's traveling here right now for revenge," Grace continued, "See, her husband was one of the founders of the town, so she shared part of the land. Everybody else who was there to own up to it is dead by now, that is, except Angelina. Her father was also a founder. The revenge being it of Angelina letting her son die, though she tried her best to save him. So, Serena is owning up to her part of the deal that was made so many years ago and taking part of Willow Falls. Of course, she's saying her ancestor's passed the land down to her, not that she was there herself. She's magic by the way."
