"Perfect" Date

Jake POV

Today I can finally show Rory how much I love her and to stop her jealously. We've been so busy with saving willow falls, we've haven't had time to even hang out! Anyway I planned her the best night ever. Here goes nothing.

I cover Rory eyes as we walk across the beach. After we walked to the blanket, I took my hands off her face, and she sits down. Its the perfect time because the sun is about to set. I sit down next to her. "This is so beautiful," she says looking at me. I smile at her. Then suddenly she starts to lean in and so do I. Are lips are about to touch, then I pull away. We can't kiss yet! I have a list about the whole date and how it is all supposed to happen, and the kiss doesn't happen till the end. And it'll b perfect.

Rory POV

Why didn't we kiss? He pulled away so fast it seems like somethings wrong with me. He should also know I'm not jealous anymore but I'll tell him that another day. But so far besides the kissing mishap, its been a wonderful night, and the night just started.   

Jake POV

Next on the list is dinner. "You wanna eat?" I ask Rory. "Sure," she says a little sadly. "I grab the basket from behind me. But when I open it and found no food. You can't even think of how many words I just said in my head.  I slap myself hard on the forehead. Then it started burning. " Jake, ohmyGod," says Rory, taking my hand of my face. "Its really red." "It'll go away," I say, standing up. She grabs my hand and pulls me back down. "Here," she says, kissing my forehead lightly. No, I'm supposed to kiss her! "Don't worry about the food," she says. "I ate earlier." She smiles which makes me smile.

Next on the list is dancing. "You care to dance m'lady?" I ask grabbing her hand. "Don't mind if I do," she says curtsying.  I grab the radio and start the music. Then suddenly, the music stops playing. I run over to it and see that it died. Rory walks over. "We don't need a radio," she says taking it out of my hands and throwing it behind her. I smile sadly. We start slow dancing, under the moon light, my hand around her waist, her hand around my shoulder. Its was perfect, then suddenly I trip over something hard, and I fall into water, still holding on to Rory who falls in the water also. Its freezing.  Were both soaked. Rory looks at me, then starts laughing. And so do I.

Everything is going wrong. I don't even know why. I packed everything  and planned everything, but its all gone wrong.  But now its time for the  perfect kiss. I stand up followed by Rory. I slip my arm around her waist and she looks at me. We both start to lean in then suddenly I here my name and squeals. I know what it is.  Mixture of fans and papa rocse. The worst . I grab Rory's hand and we start running. "How did they find u here," she asks, while we run across the beach. I look behind me , and see a whole mob of girls running after us and behind them, a bunch of guys with cameras. When we get to the beach entrance, I open the door to the port a potty and pull Rory inside and lock it. I sigh. Worst night ever. Except the part of being with Rory. "I'm sorry about all this," I tell her sitting down on the closed toilet seat. "Don't even say that. This has been one of the best nights of my life," she says to me. "Really?," I ask her. "Really," she says. This is it. Here goes nothing. I put my hand to Rory's cheek and lean in and kiss her. Finally, our first kiss. And it was perfect.
