Sheldon's Smile

Connor POV

He glares at me from the ground. What's this guy's problem? "The name is Connor," I tell him, reaching my hand out so I can pull him off the ground. He doesn't accept it. Instead he pushes himself off the ground and walks away. "Ok then, ass hole." I mumble to myself.

Sheldon POV

I walk past the Connor guy, and head to my first job, finding the people who are trying to save the town. Auntie told me that they were painting signs and stuff, so I guess I have to find them somewhere around here.

After an hour or so, I finally find two girls who are painting a building with dark colors. As I walk towards them, I notice the smaller one has grey paint all over her clothes. I laugh at her, but loud enough for them to turn around. The older one looks at me, confused. I looked at her, giving her my best smile, which the people back home say could make a girl faint right there. But she wasn't the one to faint, it was the tiny one who did. The older one catches her and fans her with the paint brush, getting paint all over both their faces. "Dang it," she says, while trying to wipe it off the little one's face. "Here, let me help you, my name's Sheldon," I say, while walking over to them. I grab a towel which was laying underneath the paint cans, and wipe the face of the girl, waking her up. But when she sees me, she faints again. "Wow, 'Sheldon,' you put her in a love trance," the older one says, smiling  at me but with some suspicion in her eyes. I wink at her. "Guess I got my aim a little off," I say, smirking at her this time.

Amanda POV

Leo is so overreacting right now. All I did was glance at the cute guy who just walked out of Serena's house, and now he's totally flipping out on me. I mean, he's checked other girls out before! Now he's not even looking at me. I feel really bad. I think he was trying to tell me something when I wasn't listening and instead was looking at the guy. But I'd heard something and kept going over it in my head, "Don't worry, Auntie, I'll make sure to use my smile," the (cute) guy had said. Use his smile? What is that supposed to mean? Anyways, we don't have any leads on Serena so all we can do is steak out her house. Angelina's afraid we're going to be arrested for trespassing or something. It's all a pretty big mess. I decide to text Sari and see how things are going down there. Hopefully something's going right.

Me: hey, any progress happening?

Sari: yeah actually, we painted and "molded" today. there was this stranger who showed up too, tall with brown hair, kinda charismatic? connor found him at angelina's, on the roof! his name is sheldon wilswoopmise, apparently. sound familiar?

Me: OMG! we saw a guy walking out of serenas house this morning! that must be him.. i bet she sent him.  what's he done so far?

Sari: nothing except be really really nice. something's up here. what's rlly weird though, is that grace fainted when she saw him, and that can't be good

Me: that is pretty suspicious. i'll try and bring it up to leo

Sari: try and bring it up? you guys all good? ik that usually you can say anything to him

Me: gtg tell ya later though, hopefully in person ! byeeee

Sari: ok, well see u soon! byeee

I put down the phone and thought for a minute. It's got to be bad if Grace fainted. "Maybe we should head back to town," I suggested to the group. "Head back? We've barely gotten started," Ray argues. I explain to them the text messages. Angelina nods, "I should've known she'd have something up her sleeve. Yes, I think that Amanda's right. It's best to go back now. We'll leave tomorrow at morning after a full walk-a-round of the house, just to make sure." Ray shrugs, "Sound fine to me."

We all sleep in the car, but it's roomy and the seats are comfy leather, so I have no problem falling asleep, but before I do, Leo whispers to me, "I'm sorry I overreacted. I understand why you were'nt listening earlier. What I was going to say, though, is that you looked beautiful this morning." I smiled and turned over to him. "And you still do, you always do." I took his hand and we got out. I looked into his eyes for what seemed like forever, then we kissed. It was magical, like every other time we've kissed, but this kiss was special. The moon was full, and for some reason, Serena had her sprinklers on. "This really is mystifying," Leo said and smiled. I laughed and the corners of my mouth starting to hurt because I was smiling so much. We got back in the car after we kissed (again). I didn't want to fall asleep, but I did, with my hand in Leo's.
