Waking up

My eyes flew open and I sat up quickly, looking around wildly expecting to see my dead parents before me. Instead I saw Sebastian and the other servants looking at me with worried expressions. As I tried to move, a sudden pain all over my body enveloped me. A hand touched my shoulder, lightly pushing me back towards the bed. 

"What happened?" I mumbled out as it hurt to breathe.

"We came when we heard you screaming and we found you like this" sebastian said while studying my body. I would've been embarrassed because of his intense gaze but right now I was in too much pain. 

"What did happen to you miss?" finny questioned, his voice laced with concern. I gasped trying to take full breaths while the full extent of the pain hit me. 

"I had a bad dream that I guess actually effected me" I murmured gritting my teeth from the pain of speaking. 

"Don't worry about me I will heal by morning" I said as I felt the itching sensation as my skin knitted itself back together.  They started to file out all except for sebastian, who started to walk toward me when they all left. 

"My poor kitten I wish I could've protected you" I blushed at his comment. The pain was finally starting to be at a bearable level thank satan I thought to myself. 

"I'm not some little kid I don't need to be protected I can handle myself, after all I did beat you when we were training earlier" I said defensively. I don't know why that hit a nerve but it did with him I didn't want to seem weak. 

"I didn't mean it like that kitten please forgive me" He apologized as he looked at me studying my face. I blushed again as I saw how close we were, I wanted him so bad. Wait what the hell am I thinking?  I shook my head and I realized I zoned out as he is looking at me curiously. By now the pain has become just a dull throb, thank satan for my fast healing abilities.

"I forgive you" i replied looking at his lush pink lips. What's wrong with me? I can't get him out of my head. Then he got up from his squatting position and turned to walk away.

"good night then my kitten" he said not looking back at me.

"Wait" I said while he stopped to turn around, "will you please stay with me?" I saw him smirk in the darkness which caused me to blush for the third time in 15 minutes. A new record, no one else could make me blush like this. 

"Of course but I thought you said you don't need protecting my dear kitten" he said while walking toward me. I wish he would wipe that stupid smirk off his face, I know what could do that. As he got comfortable I leaned up and kissed him which left him stunned for a few seconds. ha he can be surprised! It was my turn to smirk as his shocked face turned into one of amusement. 

"I knew you liked me kitten, just admit it" he smiled while I allowed him to think that I cuddled up to him. 

"That's what you think" I mumbled in my tired state, hey demons need sleep too ya know! I woke up with sebastian beside me and thankfully the rest of my sleep was uneventful plus I fully healed. 

"Aren't you supposed to be taking care of a certain shorty?" I questioned as he looked down at me with amusement. 

"Why of course I guess it's about time I went to wake up the young master" he said while slipping out from under the covers. I was sad to feel his warmth leave me as he got up  so I pulled the covers up over me.

"The young master also said you could take the day off since you had a rough night last night" he said while he opened my door. 

"Tell him I said he has my thanks" and with that sebastian closed the door leaving me alone with my thoughts. Damn he is going to be the death of me I sighed. I might as well take advantage of this day off and inform my dad what was happening, the one that was still alive at least. he isn't even my real dad but i'm glad I have him I thought as I got up from my bed. I swung my feet over the edge of my bed and got up to get ready for the day after taking a warm bath. I created a portal to my dimension and stepped through. 

I walked into his office and greeted him while sitting down in the chair in front of his desk. 

"so I have a job at the fantomhive manor as a maid" I said nonchalantly as he gasped at my words. 

"You are working as a peasant? What are you thinking!" he yelled at me in surprise. I figured he react something like this, so I didn't even flinch. 

"yes I like the demon there he is very nice to me and rather pleasing to the eye if you know what I mean" I said cheekily. I smiled thinking of sebastian again I loved his evil smirk when he was up to something or when he thought he had the upper hand, they way he called me his kitten because I was a cat demon, and how he treated me. 

"Well if you wish to live that way it is your decision I will force nothing upon you" he said speaking slowly and deliberately. 

"Thank you father I will go now I have things to take care of" I said curtly while standing up to leave. 

"Or course my dear have a good time and enjoy yourself if you can" He said sarcastically.

"I will thank you" I replied choosing to ignore the hidden meaning in his words. I created a portal back to the human world and stepped through laying back down in bed.

"Well that went a bit better than expected" I huffed as I let out a long sigh trying to fall back to sleep.
