messing with a demon

 I was getting hungry and human food had no purpose for me since it had no taste and gave me no nutrition, there really was no point to eating it. I decided that I was going to get my own food and with that I turned into a cat and started toward town. As I was walking into town I stumbled across a house and someone was outside but I couldn't tell what they were doing they were too far away. I slowly crept toward the stranger making sure I didn't step on any leaves as it would give away my position. The person had a hold on another neko's ear which infuriated me to no end so I decided this guy was to be my next meal. I turned into my neko form and walked right behind the man until I knew the girl saw me and the look she gave me made my heart hurt for her and instantly I knew her pain, sadly another one another of my abilities. I grabbed the man's shoulder which surprised him enough to make him let go of the girls ear and he turned to me telling me off until he realized I was a neko too. I gave him an evil smirk as I knocked his feet out from under him and I was on top of him within seconds with my claws at his throat.

"Now tell me why you were hurting my poor neko." I said glaring at him straight in the eyes, even as far away as I was I still smelt the booze on his breath. I really wasn't in the mood to hear his excuses so I just ate his soul without question, as soon as I got off of the man the girl ran to my and hugged me.

"Thank you so much miss!" I smiled down at the little neko and she looked very young, still having plump cheeks as a child would that were slightly red.

"How old are you my little neko?" I asked using a soothing voice to calm her down.

"I-I'm 11" she said slightly stumbling over her words.

"Well cutie, what is your name?" I said lightly pinching her cheek which made her smile.

"My name is Alice, what's your name?" she asked me in an innocent voice.

"My name is (y/n). Tell me Alice do you have a place to stay?" I asked feeling as if I have to protect this little girl I had known no longer than a couple of minutes.

"No I don't" Alice said in a sad voice not meeting my eyes.

"Well Alice you can come live with me, by the way do you know how to use your powers sweetie?" she looked at me with wide confused eyes that said 'what I have powers?' 

"Now I want you to focus real hard and think about becoming a cat, make sure you really imagine it in your head." Alice closed her eyes tight and her eyebrows came together, a second later she was a cat and she opened her eyes looking pleased with herself. I also turned into a cat and started running back to the manner so I could get her something to eat.

At the manner i turned back into my neko form and I gently picked Alice up and jumped too the deck connected to my room. I peeked in to make sure no one was there and luck was in my favor for once and we slipped into my room where I told her to turn back into a neko, though I didn't tell her purposely to see if she could do it by herself. Alice looked at me and meowed so I figured I'd contact her through thought to help a bit.

'This is to start your training to use your powers so you have to do this by yourself.'

'(Y/n)? How are you talking to me through thought?'

'all demons can do it sweetie they just don't always know they can do it.' I said giving her a reassuring smile and told her to try again.Alice closed her eyes and like the first time she turned back into a neko. I smiled at her and brought her into a tight hug though she hesitated a few seconds to hug me back, she warmed up to me. I walked her over to the bed and laid her down and as I went to leave to get her food she grabbed my hand before I could get a foot away.

"W-will you please stay with me?" she asked a blush appearing on her face.

"Why of course sweetie." I smiled at her again and I joined Alice on the bed she cuddled into me so I wrapped my arms around her and brushed her hair gently till she fell asleep. Hmm she has a lot to learn and it will take time to train her, what am I going to tell Ciel and Sebastian? Good thing I'm cloaking her or Sebastian would have sensed her already. I got up and locked the door before going back to Alice and deciding that I would figure this out in the morning because I was tired.
