Sawyer

Sawyer walked down the hallway with George, playing with the ends of her sleeves. Soon after George had gotten her out of the prison he had taken her to a nearby clothing store. After about a half an hour of what was mostly changing and finding clothes that would cover her shackle bruises they emerged victorious. Sawyer was wearing a long sleeved black turtleneck and one-size-too-big, white, skinny jeans that hung loosely around her black and white converse.

"George?" Sawyer began.

"Please, call me Haven, all my friends do." George continued to walk forward down the hall.

"Alright. Haven, you mentioned that this was a team of people. Who are the others?" Sawyer watched Haven as the silence grew to an unusually awkward level.

"You'll know when you see them." Haven's voice showed no sound of wavering and as Sawyer searched Haven's face for clues she emerged with nothing. This man was a steel trap when it came to keeping his mouth shut.

"Here we are." Haven opened a large set of double doors to reveal a room with three other people. The room was circular with two chairs and a small table on the right hand side. On the left hand side was a love seat facing a large window and in the center was a large fountain with food platters around it.

The first person Sawyer noticed was a tall, African American boy with chocolate brown hair. He had soft green eyes and dark eyebrows that creased in curiosity as his eyes found Sawyer inspecting her to-be teammates. He had a bridge of freckles that stretched from one cheek to the other in a scattered manner. As clothing he wore a mottled green and black cloak that he seemed to be using as some sort of shield against reality. He sat in one of the chairs by the small table and stared, not directly at Sawyer, but off into the distance behind her, his attention seeming to be slip back and forth from reality and some other world unseen to most.

The second person to catch her eye was a short blonde girl, around five foot five, with intelligent brown eyes who was standing by the fountain. Her eyes also seemed to be distant but not quite as far gone as the African American boy's. Hers were just barely clouded, like she was thinking about what she might want for dinner or something. There was a certain sense of seriousness drifting around her, causing Sawyer to think that maybe she was thinking about something slightly more serious than dinner choices. Her outfit choice of a white blouse and tan shorts, even though it went well with the blonde braid hanging halfway down her back and the four, purple clips holding back her long side bangs, was not the most fitting for the serious aura she was surrounded by.

At last, with a little struggle, Sawyer also managed to make out the pale form of a snow tribesman boy an inch over her height of five foot nine. He had playful green eyes and a goofy grin on his face that made her chuckle. He seemed to be quite comfortable with his legs dangling over the handle of the love seat as he lay on the soft cushions. His eyes seemed to be clear. He wasn't thinking about anything that wasn't happening in the moment. His clothing suited his aura well. He wore camouflage pants, black army boots and a tank top just a smidge darker than his milk white skin.

"This is Sawyer. She's going to be working with you." Haven introduced me. "The Snow tribesman is James Cortier, the African American boy is Ragnarok Hallings and the blonde girl is Harper Elandra." The three all greeted the new girl kindly. James waved from his spot on the couch, grin still on his face, Harper smiled politely and Ragnarok looked her up and down and stood up. At first she was slightly scared as the tall boy approached her but her fears were dismissed as he set his elbow on her shoulder like it was an armrest and grinned kindly. She grinned back.

"So what was it old man? Why'd you want us here?" James asked, sitting partially up so that his legs were still slung over the armrest and his arms were supporting him as he leaned back.
