Luna let out a sigh as her shift at the diner ended. It had been a long day and she couldn't wait to stand on the pier or go home amd take a nice bath. I hope that my boss won't say anything... She grabs her bag from the back room, clocks out, and begins to head out the door.
"Have a good night!" A woman in her late 40's calls from the kitchen.
"You too!" The 20-year-old replies back before walking out to her car. It was a lovely black 2010 Ford Fusion, the a.c. may not have worked, but the heater did. The fair skinned woman unlocks the car and got in. Inserting the key into the car and turning it, the engine roared to life once it started up.

Luna got home and she was greeted by her 12 year old brother, Cayden. Their mother had died shortly after having Cayden so Luna helped her dad take care of the baby boy. However recently their dad was grown ill and was unable to do very much.
"Sissy! You're home!" The small emerald eye boy called as he ran over to her and hugging her.
"Hey kiddo." She smiles and hugs back, "how's dad doing?"
"Bad.."
"Had he eaten?"
"No, he doesn't even acknowledge me anymore."
"Strange. I'll check on him in a minute, have you finished your homework?"
"Almost, I need your help with something though."
"What is it?"
"I need someone to sign the permission slip for a field trip next week."
"I'll sign it after dinner okay?" The ravenette headed to her father's room. She lightly knocked on the door as she entered, "Papa?" No response. "Papa, I'm home." She walked further into the darkened room.
"Marie?" A weak male's voice called.
"No papa, it's Luna."
He sighed, "you sound just like your mother.."
"I know, but papa, why don't you acknowledge Cayden?"
"Who?" The one word shocked her, he was never a forgetful person. He's getting worse.. I should call the doctor tonight...
