The next few days added more stress to the ravenette's life. The skating competitions were about to start, her father was taken to a hospital, and her baby brother needed a parental figure. Not to mention that her boss was flirting with her.
"Luna, sweetie, it'll be okay." Her best friend and skating mentor told her as they skated onto the ice.
"There's just so much going on... I think I'll put in my two week's notice I'm at the restaurant.."
"But what about the money that you need to help keep your brother?"
"Skating competitions, interveiws, and stuff like that provide good money. Plus I'd be able to help him more."
"Very well. Now let's go over your routine again." Luna nods and glides to the center of the ice.

After practice ended, she went to the restaurant and put in her two week's notice before heading to the bridge in a nearby park. It was her "escape from reality", but so was skating.
C

ome all you weary
I'll save you
That voice! Where is it coming from? The ravenette looks around for the source of the goregous voice.
From all the sorrow and pain
Just give me your heart
And I'll guide you
Her emerald orbs were soon drawn to the shimmering waves below the pier. Something seemed to be glowing and the voice seemed to be coming from underneath the dock!
All the way down memory lane
Don't be afraid I won't harm you
She couldn't help but lean over the railing more and more until the cold sensation of the water met her fair skin.
Come my dear let me save you
Say goodbye to the suffering
Cause by those who hate
The voice was much louder below water. How is that possible? Have I finally gone mad enough to drown because I heard someone singing?  She looks towards the receding light as she slowly sank further into the cold water. Darkness threatened to take a hold of her vision as her lungs yearned for air. Just moments before death could finally steal her from the world she heard the voice again, but it was so close and so faint.
Just let me save you
She could feel warmth against her lips and a bright light blinded her.
