It was a fine, summer night. The usual thing. Stars in the sky, cold wind and minty air. I'm Yvanne, by the way. There was nothing interesting about summer, till he came in...

i was just on the balcony, staring up at the stars, wishing on them. then i heard a bustle below.

" is somebody there?" i asked. no one answered. maybe just some other wierdo, i guess.

morning came, and i heard another bustle downtairs. i hurried down and saw an angel, er, i mean a guy. with brown hair, brown eyes. typical. i rushed to my mom an asked why is a stranger on our dining table, but she answred in a very weird way. " that's prince Deveroux, darling. 6th grandson of the queen. your highness, i am so sorry for my daghter's rudeness." my mom was so annoying.

"oh, it is okay madam." the "prince" replied. "i am merely here to invite you to my ball tonight. surely you have time?" he asked. gosh, his eyes are so... *ehem* back to the point. he is so arrogant!

"oh sure your highness" oh my gosh. my mother is so plastic. really. " i am sure Yvanne would love to go." she added, gesturing me to bow. though i really dont want to, but i dont want my head chopped off.

the dreaded night of my life came, the ball. everyone was wearing puffy gowns and top hats. i only wore my mother's old dress, the thing i wear everytime we go to church. just as i entered the hall, mr.peacock showed up.

"Yvanne, Mrs. Stane, how nice of you to come to my ball! and miss Yvanne, before anyone gets the chance, may i dance with you?" he gestured his hand to be taken, and yes, again, i had no choice but to take it.

oh yes, we danced alright. but i intentionally stepped on his feet every once in a while so he would stop dancing and would leave me alone to drink punch in peace. but amazingly, he didn't! he just smiled every time i stepped on his foot, and people are now whispering of how much a clumsy dancer i was!

at last, the music stopped, and he had to let me go. but he didn't let go of my hand right away. annoying! "uuhh... sir? i have to go to the.. uhhh... ah! bathroom! yes, bathroom!" that was stupid,

"oh, i am sorry milady. i didn't realize i was holding your hand the whole time." he smiled, as if he found that amusing.

the night went on without a glitch. well, he is the biggest glitch in the room, but what can i say? this GLITCH may change my life forever.
